a common rattle is actually the handbrake button! next time your driving put your finger on it and see if that stops some rattles, but yeah almost every AE86 ive had has had lots of rattles, gotta really expect that but i can live with it http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Yip the whole farken car rattles. Without sound deadening, you hear every creak and rattle.

Being 20 odd years old i assume you all expect a certain amount of rattles.

But at that age most of the rattles would be from not re-installing something properly after the mods you have performed.

I found that when i stripped the car for painting that most parts where hard to get off and put back on without some sort of rattle afterwards.

So i intend to buy a heat gun and glue and dab alittle on all of the screws, bolts etc one rattle (at least the ones i can reach) ata time.

Should work.

Cheers

The whole freakin' front end of my car vibrates so bad that passengers that haven't been in it before freak out thinking the car is about to fall apart! I've tried replacing the gearbox mount and engine mount but it didn't help any. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/huh.gif

Its hard to hear what exactly rattles when u have no interior and no sound deading with a stright through exhuast http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/blink.gif

I'd be more concerned if i didn't hear any rattling. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/wink.gif

Just wind down the window, the wind noise and exhaust just drown out all the rattle. Works for me anyway http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/cool.gif

i took my number plate out last night "for some work" and realised it had rubber washers between plate n body.

$100 apparently goes a long way toward some hella loud 6x9s.
i can't hear shit. noteven the stupid noises my ridiculous looking exhaust tip makes
if u get the chance, pick up a pair of 260w pioneer 6x9s and stick them to a decent head unit. they're adjective nuts!

My only rattles are the muffler, which is crap and I should get the new one put on, and this buzzing nosie behind the instruments that only happens when I drive on dirt roads and for a while after.
