engine screensaver

hey fellas

found this on boost, its 40mb, takes a while but its worth every second!
basically a 4cyl dohc motor, being built from scratch then shows the engine working...

very similar to a 4age except some ribbing on the block, rocker covers are one piece, dizzy position, intake configuration and powersteering pump... couple of other small things

Yeh, this screen saver looks really good.....

I was told by Toby from Merdian Motorsport (where i first saw it as there store computers screen saver) that its actually a Mazda engine.

I thought maybe it was of german origin (because the name is 'deutz engine') but I cant find anything like it on the net. I work with a few engine guys and they dont really know what it is either.

That would have taken so much time to construct, especially all of the physics in the running of the engine.

Yeah I found this site a while ago when I googled "deutz engine" but I couldnt find anything similar. Also the one in the screen saver isnt a diesel (as far as I can tell http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif ) it has spark plugs (as opposed to glow plugs) and doesnt use direct injection like a lot of diesel engines.
