i need to change my 20v valve stem seals. ive been told its a bitch of a job to do but i have a spare car so i have some time to do it.

anybody here have a link on instructions?? i've changed cams on a 16v b4, think ill be up to the task of valve stem seals on a 20v??

anybody here in melbourne near heidelberg area willing to guide me tru it??

i would get someone to do it..you need a 'special' valve spring compressor just do get into the dam thing..

it's possible to do with the head still on the block, but difficult.

otherwise, with the head off it's not that bad, but then there's all that time taking the head off...

where do the seals need to be bought from? is it compatable with anything that's made localy?

think u can get seals frm anywhere. autopro perhaps?? and its not expensive.

do you know what size the head bolts are for a 20V? allan key style or bolt head?

neither, they are an inverted 12 sided hex, think of a 12 sided socket sticking up and you have got it, also it's a 10mm too.

bloody hell..they don't want you riping the engine apart do they? building up a few 4age's over the years i have had to buy a couple of 10mm double hex sockets, i didn't know you could put so much force through them..you think ohh yeh 40lbs..thats not that much..then turn another 90 deg..then another 90!! your hanging off the roof trying to turn the F#$%@r!
