Driftzone October 1st comp
a few ae86 driving club members out there.
jason - drft86 (orange ae86) jason - ae86 slider (red ae86) and v-tec (red ae71)
jason (orange ae86) came 10th over all in the comp and went nuts all day. 1st time on the track and went very well. i have a few incar runs with him if i can figure out where to upload them i will.
jason (red ae86) went off all day to 1st time on the track. he had a few drama's with the idol but it seemed to be fixed easy enough.
and v-tec (cannot remember ur name) really need a locked diff. but good on ya for trying

my camera was playing up all day
doesnt take good pics anymore they seem grainy

lens may need a cleaning or something

lol i called jason in the red 86 and arranged to meet him after the event.
i was waiting in the carpark for him and jason in the orange 86 went past, but being a bit dark i didn't notice the difference til i'd followed orange jason halfway to ipswich

how embarassing

so sorry to ae86 slide jason for buggering off before you were done
maybe next time

Nice pics cass. Btw, my name is grant.

your right i do need a locked diff, however, i probly wont get that till i have a decent engine in there. Plus i only got the car last week.... My power was that lacking that a lot of the corners i didnt try to drift and just built speed so i could slide through the next one. damn i gotta lay of the drinks and start to pay attention. I didnt even know there was a drift day on, meh.... So the red spoonta what engine is that running and whats the ke running?

red hachi is running a silver top 20v
and the ae71 is running a 4ac i think and open center diff

yup, red Ae71 has a 4ac and open diff.... did anyone get any pics of me going through the dipper? That was my favorite corner

If you look at the other pic above it, its the exhaust as the mounts broke (i guess)

Was the first time out on the track for me
and omg it was so fun

however i had a tensioner pulley bearing sieze on me and therefore had no supercharger or water pump http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/sad.gif

however its fixed mow and i should be ready to go out next time, hopefully

Hey V tec, Lock your diff (beter still buy an LSD) before you get the engine upgrade. Its cheaper and easier, so you will be drifting sooner, and if you can learn to drift with a 4AC you will be a better drifter, because you will be relying on speed/handling/your own skills instead of power.
