Just brought a Streeter kit, all good, except that the rear bumper sags down where the numberplate lights sit. There is alot of space behind it so is it possible to brace it with wood and fibreglass to aleviate the sag?

Any suggestions would be great

Tai

drill and zipties = the win, but seriously i dont know any proper ways. Better off approaching him for a replacement if possible.

Don't bother. They're all like that.

I know what Josh had to do to get his straight was run some 90 degree angle steel along the underside of the top lip, then literally screw it to the bench with long screws to pull it flat. Then just fibreglass over the angle steel and wait for it to go hard. Once its gone off just unscrew it from the bench and fill the holes.

Yeah just as i was thinking, Thanks (mumbleezzz) http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif

BTW did Josh also have trouble with the front bumper fitting to the gaurd, as in did he have to really forrce it on to meet the gaurd holes?? If so did he rectify this problem?.

Dunno, he uses cable ties so im not sure. I recall Simon needed to bend his a fair bit to get it to meet the guard but it should be flexible enough to fit properly.

Josh manufactured his own "Quick release" bumper mounts, so i dont think it would have been an issue for him.

My bumper seems to be strengthened by Ken, because it has the smaller indicators, therefore its not as flexible, im just scared il snapped the thing b4 it goes on http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/sad.gif

90 degree bracketing is right. Do you have enough room to mount it on your car ( as in permanently?) that way the bar can sit on it all the time and wont have room to sag.. same goes for front bars. Its what my bar is mounted on.
Des had the same problem with his streeter kit too i believe.

streeter by streeter kits are very very flexable, the side skirts can be twisted somethin hardcore, almost 360 degrees and they dont snap http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

This is my other problem a big gap on each side of the front bumper, there is around 1 inch gap on each side, ive tried stretching it on, but it seems like its goin to crack and there is a gap under the front indicators.

Anybody got the number for Ken Streeter?, i might see if i can swap for another, unless there all like that.

Cheers Tai

They're all like that. Grow a pair, bend it, screw it on and go smash it into some gutters.
