hey, well this car has been in the process of reincarnation since mid 2001 now, and that does not look like its going to cease anytime soon.

as it stands now..

ADM ae86
gold/purple/white/grey

http://users.on.net/~desb/ae86dc/DSCN1356.jpg

sitting on tokico adj shocks and some crappy springs, other bits and pieces. nothing too exciting.. waiting to have these magically appear under the front guards/

http://users.on.net/~desb/ae86dc/DSCN1361.jpg

its currently in the process of getting this stitched up.

http://users.on.net/~desb/ae86dc/DSCN1337.jpg

ive run into a couple of problems, one, finding the right fruxing water pump pulley/pump combination. (btw if anyone can help shed some light on this let me know here) and the only other thing left before i can turn it over is having a plenum/airbox covering these up so the ecu dosent get all confused as to why i threw the afm at the wall and didnt actually install it in conventional fashion.

heres some random shots of the wiring

so yeah, there you go, if i decide to get inspired and do anything about it, ill try and document it here.

also previously this car had the pleasure of owning a bigport 16v which i drove around for quite a while. oh yeah and it has an F-series LSD rear w/ the disc brakes

here are some old pictures

I saw on 'Pimp Your Ride" once,
XZIBIT had a pest problem with rats in some chicks car.
They ended up making their own way out. But left a big mess.

I think also setting your car on fire helps.

deltathing
26th October 2005, 08:55 PM
thanks man

the coilovers or whats in there at the moment?

i picked up the coilovers for $450 (theyre kei office s13 items, so +brakes+hubs and +control arms) it'll add up to around the $700 mark

the shocks in there now i bought new from japan at about $500 about a year ago now plus whatever kings cost.

ill be selling the front shocks once those s13 struts are in if anyone wants them.

Bustin_86
27th March 2006, 06:38 PM
that is so damn hot. I really love that colour...is it just primer? lol http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif

deltathing
27th March 2006, 06:45 PM
ive given them a bit of a polish, but i want to take them apart to do it properly, they are coming up well though!

sweet, i never though id get the thing working, does the actuator connect to a thermostat? ill come check it out, gotta catch up and see your car anyway!

deltathing
27th March 2006, 06:46 PM
the paint is a bit of a secret, ask around enough and you will find out though. but it isnt primer. the actual colour i think is tungsten grey.

yeah i think it does connect to the thermo if my memory serves me well. im pretty sure it has everything there cos it looks like someone just ripped it out before it hit australia and just left everything hanging. but thanks to my lazyness its still just dangling away http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif

cheers jesse.

there are a few things i need to sort out still
namely.
-properly m0unt the coils (they are currently ziptied to my strut brace)
-sort out power steering. im not sure if anyone else here is running 16v pwr steering on a 20v, but mine seems to not align, at the moment ive got a half hacked belt on there barely hanging on.
im thinking of swapping to manual steering, if anyone has any solutions let me know~!
-find out strange knocking noise coming from front left strut. strange. and concerning.
-install headunit
-fix throttle cable. in trying to shorten it, i rendered it too short, now the car idles at 1250rpm. fark.
-fix exhaust hole. in the past few days the car has developed a hole in the piece of flexi pipe. sounds bad
