nope..that aint it.

DLI convertors are for converting 20v distributor to a crank angle sensor, so you dont need to run the dizzy cap, and can therefore fit the 20v in a rwd car, without bashing the firewall, or running aftermarket ecu.

and Anthony Kellam makes about 1 of these every 2 years, so if you're after one, be prepared for a wait http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif

that being said, i've got one atm for sale.

I took my car to an auto electricians, and they took my dash to some place that specialises in that stuff. I think it was getting signal but it had to be converted, so you're on the right track.

i dont know if this will help u....but...we fitted a 101 ze into my mates ae92 and he had the same problem....non coil pack tacho with coil packs....

all he did was buy an ae92 ZE dash cluster and we removed the tacho motor out of it and fitted it into his one....works perfectly and he retains that factory dash look....easy

maybe u can do the same thing with ae86 as the ae92 dash looks pretty similar

hope this helps

all you have to do is swap the two resistors and the capacitor on the tacho drive board as stated in the PDF above I translated.

So does this apply to the ADM cluster as well? Or do you have to change other components too?

As CHA54 stated, just follow the PDF, Parts from Tandy or disck Smiths are

R0607
R0620
R2299

All of about 85 cents and just follow the PDF instructions.

I did this with mine and havn't had any problems with the tacho since

Cheers

Or you could build this circuit>
(worked fine in my wagon, not sure about 86's)

^^ made something like that but couldn't get it to read true, autolecy also gave up

Decided to go aftermarket, 2 seconds to wire off the ecu and can be placed in much better sight then the standard

don't know weather to go a big one like yours brenton or to just leave it and use the dash unit i'm gonna get for the microtech...

yours looks pretty sweet but http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif

I changed the resistors in my circuit board and it's worked fine.

use that PDF up the top.

Are you sure the last component is R2299? Instead of R2313?

i used the pdf too in my ke70 - has a few bits different to the pic in the pdf but you can still follow it and it definately works... thats with a 20v wasted spark setup...
