Isn't that what the red thing is?

yes, the easy way is to just cut the threads off flush with the bottom face of the camber top. the proper way would be to get some sort of spacer in there to get the spring hat to seat on the spherical bearing.

yeh it's supposed to have tapered bit that is smaller that the 4 studs..that just sits up inside..failing that..go down to BSC or CBC some sort of bearing place with some mesurements, and get some bearings and use them as spacers as previously said by ae86levint..

I went down to the fella's at Leda suspension, and thats exactly what they said. So any bearing shop should be able to help me?

They will work, but they are longer than they need to be. I would make them about half that length, as the way they are will raise the hight of the car, which will mean you will have to unwind preload on the lower mount, , to artifically lower the car, which will reduce the possible stroke of your shocks.

I also have Cusco Cambertops, and the Cusco top hats came with an oilite bushing about 1/4" (5mm) thick. All it has to do is clear the bolts. the amount required can become greater if you use a lot of neg camber (especially with longer controll arms), but the spacers you have are a little bit "over engineered" Mine only just clear, but thats all they need to do http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/wink.gif

Thanks guys.

I will go and have a look at them now. Maybe just the washers without the spacers? I can't remember how much clearance that gave. I was looking at the spacers and noticing that it will raise the car a little.

Thanks heaps for your help.

Yeah i had a look and the spacer could afford to be about half as high as it is now. Ohwell, i will see what they are like when they are in and make a decision then.

Thanks again everyone. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif
