I've been on here a while so i thought i had better add my car to this section.

This is my AE71 Corolla. This pic quite old and was when i first got it.

2nd December 2005, 09:16 PM
And another one. (I would put them all in the same reply but my net is f***ed)

2nd December 2005, 09:18 PM
This is how it is atm. Pedders sports ryder shocks and springs, whiteline panhard.

2nd December 2005, 09:20 PM
Hopefully, all of this will be in on sunday :D

2nd December 2005, 09:23 PM
And i've had these for a while, but now that my suspension is going in i can finally use them. They are 15x7 +27 (pretty gay offset) Buddy clubs. BTW, my complete pedders setup will be for sale soon.

2nd December 2005, 09:25 PM
PHAT ae71 LOVE IT i Have one that is a spirit model 5 speed and i cant find another one of its kind its an 84 model and soon will have a 4age in it and also lovels super low springs in it and a 2 way lsd

2nd December 2005, 09:37 PM
Looks good. Good luck with her http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif .

2nd December 2005, 09:47 PM
You should be able to use those wheels with just a 3-5mm spacer, unless the coilover spring comes too low, in which case it weill need more. I was able to run 15x7 25mm offset wheels, until i put helper springs on my coilovers. Now i run zero offset, which looks pretty sweet

3rd December 2005, 07:21 AM
Thanks for the comments http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

I use 5mm spacers when the standard struts are in and it fills the gaurds pretty well. But i havent tried with coilovers and neg camber yet. Hopefully they are alright.

3rd December 2005, 11:24 AM
sweet ae71 man
should look tuff once the coilovers are in
i like the wheels that are on it now.

keep us updated

3rd December 2005, 03:10 PM
nice set of rims,
what are you going to do with your old ones?? http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif

3rd December 2005, 03:57 PM
very nice man, keep us updated!

3rd December 2005, 04:19 PM
looks great man, i sooo wish my paint was as good as yours.

lol its so shiny http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif

3rd December 2005, 10:26 PM
Thanks for all the positive comments, really appreciate it http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

The wheels that are on it now are 14x6.5 +3 offset. ATM they have 195/60's on them, because they were free http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/laugh.gif

Well, i only have a pair of the buddy clubs so im planning to run them on the front with the 14's on the back. Going to try and get some 185/60's for them.

More pics tomorrow night when the coilovers are in. The old stuff is pretty much out, so after breakfast tomorrow i can concentrate on installing.

Called it a night, can't get the massive nut off the the steering arm off http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/angry.gif

4th December 2005, 01:10 AM
that car is as we say in my house... uber sheek

26th December 2005, 10:56 AM
Well after many drama, the coilovers are finally in! Great christmas present :D The rims on the front are 14x6.5 +3 running 195/60. I chucked a 5mm spacer in behind that aswell, it looked phat but the tyres were rubbing on the inner gaurd plastic crap. So i have taken the spacers out but when i get 185/60 G3's soon, ill throw the spacers back on to see how that goes. The rear has not been done yet as you will no doubt be able to tell. Should be doing that tomorrow.

So here are the pics..

26th December 2005, 10:57 AM
Another one. I love camber.

26th December 2005, 10:58 AM
The ass looks really high http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/sad.gif Probably cos it is haha.

26th December 2005, 10:59 AM
So yes very happy how they have turned out. Massive respect to AJPS!

26th December 2005, 02:39 PM

27th December 2005, 10:10 AM
I have tried to put the buddy clubs on with 5mm spacer but the tyre just rubs on the bottom spring nut. I guess i need bolt on spacers then http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/sad.gif

27th December 2005, 10:47 PM
A dodgy pic. Better ones tomorrow.

27th December 2005, 10:50 PM
OHH that is hawt with those rims, sexy yew! how much u pick up the susp. 4?

27th December 2005, 11:00 PM

27th December 2005, 11:00 PM
AJPS Coilovers
KONI Sleeves
KYB Shocks
7kg springs
AE86 Struts
AE86 Steering Arms

Then $270 Cusco camber tops.

Rear are $80 sierra's with chopped falcon springs.

Its stiff as, sick as!

28th December 2005, 02:30 AM
You need to get those rear rims on asap, looks hot.

28th December 2005, 09:24 AM

Mesh 14's back on the rear?

28th December 2005, 09:27 AM
another one..

28th December 2005, 09:29 AM
last one for now.

haha had some drama this morning getting out of my driveway. Its one of those bastard ones at a angle of about 50-60 degrees. Reversing out of it my inside wheel was in the air, so just spinning, and having a open diff at the moment, it didn't wanna move lol.

28th December 2005, 10:03 AM
Ok, this is the last one...

28th December 2005, 12:55 PM
No i meant the p1's on permenantly. It looks lower in the back now? Very nice!

28th December 2005, 04:07 PM
nice ride mate, i had the same drama with my gemini panelvan with the whole driveway thing. had to pile 3 people in the back so i could move it!!! http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif

28th December 2005, 04:17 PM
Yeah having the P1's on the back is growing on me. They are only on there at the moment as they are the only rims i have that will fit on the back lol. The back is as high as the shocks can go, its just legal, like 105mm or something. The front will look a little lower when i get 185/60 tyres.

I love driving it so much now, it grips the road like shit to a blanket, its awesome!

lol. It happens at every angle i try to go up the driveway. If i go straight off my exhaust catches on the driveway and i now have a massive gash in the gutter from a flange lol. Oh well, its all fun!

28th December 2005, 04:31 PM
sweet as dude, makes me want one!!!!

28th December 2005, 04:36 PM
looks hot
phat ae71 man http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

28th December 2005, 05:09 PM
Thanks for the comments http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

It was sitting in the driveway just saying "please, take another photo" so, i had to...

I will probably be out in brisbane tomorrow night, aspley etc. so if you see me feel free to come up and introduce yourself http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

28th December 2005, 11:43 PM
That looks awesome! Absolutely love it, theres just something about white rims against brown paint that looks ace!

Out of interest, what part number are the shocks and what model Falcon did the springs come out of? And how much are they cut? (Sorry if thats been covered elsewhere)

Cheers, Nat

29th December 2005, 12:18 AM

Course out: Thanks! The springs were cut about 200mm from the flat bottom end. Mine are out of the front of a EA falcon. The shocks are super cheap gabriel specials, they are alright for how much they cost.. Part #: 69666

Thanks man. Yeah at first i thought the rear was a bit to low, but i like it now http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif Just gotta set the panhard rod today and i might able to fit some spacers behind the p1s as they do sit in a bit.

29th December 2005, 07:11 PM
Took it for a wheel alignment today at dads work.

Camber: -2 degrees

Castor: Maxxed out at +2.7 degrees avg both sides

Toe: Neutral

Before the alignment, the toe was out by a total of -18.7mm. No wonder it was so fag to drive.

30th December 2005, 12:03 AM
dude, not cool, doesn't look like it was a big hit. should be easy(ish) to fix

30th December 2005, 12:06 AM
It wasnt that big, the lancers bumper took alot of the damage.

30th December 2005, 12:09 AM
god bless new cars with crumple zones!

30th December 2005, 12:25 AM
so you rear ended him?

if so that sucks man.... looks like you'll be cancelling some stuff for your corolla to pay back the bloke

gl with everything

30th December 2005, 12:36 AM
Yeah i did. So pissed http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/angry.gif

30th December 2005, 01:42 AM
what type of bloke was he?

just offer him some dosh and reciept and make sure you get a statement saying that if he accepts the mulah you are not involved with him no more whatsoever

lol i'm dodgy

30th December 2005, 08:51 AM
Damn, you will be a fault. Do you even have insurance for the ae71?

30th December 2005, 08:51 AM
Was it just a rear bumper that was damaged? New lancer rear bumper about $160 and $70 to paint

30th December 2005, 09:19 AM
Yeah i have insurance, but my excess is like $1100. Mainly rear bumper but he said he couldnt open his boot. He is a mate of mine so hopefully he can help me out by accepting cash for the repairs lol.

30th December 2005, 09:50 AM
Must of been a fair bang as by the photos it looks like you bent the bonnet back

30th December 2005, 12:40 PM
Yeah it was bent back more than that when it happened, i bent it back down at the scene.

Some good news, after a bit of bashing the bonnet now closes! So i really just need a headlight and indicator and i can drive it again. Rang local wreckers...nothing http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/sad.gif

30th December 2005, 08:02 PM
As of this afternoon, kinda looks cool without a front bar on...

31st December 2005, 05:22 AM
ahh man bl bl just think it could ahve been worse.

hope it all gets sorted out soon and doesnt cost ya to much

2nd January 2006, 12:56 AM

Would of thought they would of had something for your car. Could try http://www.ozeparts.com.au

2nd January 2006, 10:15 AM
yeah trueno, the suspension was fantastic for the 40mins i got to drive on it http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/sad.gif

I thought the local places would have parts to, but i think the guy that i hit is mates with a corolla wrecking yard, so i should be alright. Just need them before sunday.

2nd January 2006, 10:17 AM
Oh yeah, whats this part called?

3rd January 2006, 10:26 AM
its called a beaver panel... well at least thats what its called on datto's..

6th January 2006, 01:23 AM
that sucks man, atleast the damage doesnt look too bad. Goodluck.

6th January 2006, 04:48 AM
man who put your coilovers together, did you do it yourself?

6th January 2006, 03:32 PM
No, truenosedan did. AJPS!!!

Anyway after picking up a pretty much complete AE71 today for $50 from Jason, i think he is CHA54 on these forums, i have started to put poo back together. I would be driving with the bumper on but i have no f***ing idea where dad put the bumper bracket bolts! http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/angry.gif Don't you just hate that!

6th January 2006, 07:06 PM
YAY! its back on the road, looking a little battered but http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/sad.gif

6th January 2006, 07:23 PM
ahh its all good, atleas back on the road

7th January 2006, 01:59 AM
with those springs and shocks, how stiff is the rear end?

7th January 2006, 07:50 AM
Um, well the fronts are 7kg, and its a little bit softer than that so, rather stiff!

11th January 2006, 12:21 PM
Man, this car is sooooo HOT!.............. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif

11th January 2006, 07:38 PM
represent y0!

11th January 2006, 07:39 PM
Thanks bounce http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif

11th January 2006, 07:39 PM
Did you get the stickers from here? How long have you had those white wheels on, they look hot

Jusdrifn 86
11th January 2006, 07:41 PM
thats a hot sticker trav!!!

11th January 2006, 07:41 PM
Yeah got the sticker off justin at nebo run. White wheels have been on since the suspensions been in, so maybe half a month?

11th January 2006, 11:38 PM
Looks nice man, bad luck about the accident, I know how it feels, I just wrote off my SECOND ke70 3 days ago... Got a white AE71 coming my way tomorrow to swap the 4age into, so should be all good.

Grab some colour match spraypaint from autobarn for that quarter panel, I think its $26.95 and they mix it up perfectly and pressurepack it for you. Also if you need a front grille, I have about 4 spares, so throw me some postage dollars and I'll send it up to ya.

That bit you were pointing out before is called the stone guard by the way http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif.

12th January 2006, 10:25 AM
haha i have 3 different names for it now, beaver panel, stone gaurd and front valance.

Yeah i will try and paint that panel the original colour, but just gonna paint the bonnet and stone gaurd black for the time being.

Thanks for the grille offer but i have 3 here anyway http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif

Bad luck about your KE...

15th January 2006, 06:43 PM
how do you find the suspension setup? and who supplied it

15th January 2006, 10:53 PM
The front is excellent, makes turn in that much better. And while cornering, more input on the steering wheel actually makes you turn more, not just understeer lol. Sits quite flat cornering, on a smooth road its awesome. Bumpy road the back can be a little bouncy. But that will be fixed when i put new shocks and springs in it soon.

Planning on taking out to Morgan Park in the nearish future, its should go nicely there.

15th January 2006, 10:54 PM
Oh sorry, AJPS (truenosedan on the forums) supplied the fronts. I got the rear my self.

19th January 2006, 10:02 AM
Well, got the qoutes back from the lancer guy. $3500-$3900. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/blink.gif

Apparantly he needs new rear quarters and even tailights..? wtf, i didnt even come close to the tail lights! So that means i pay my excess of $1100, and let insurance company deal with it....f***.

Anyway, my car has been running a bit crap lately, breaking down under load and missing while idling. I checked the plugs on poo, they seem to be alright, so im gonna swap the dizzy cap and leads from the yellow car to this one and see if it fixes it.

19th January 2006, 10:09 AM
Sorry to hear about your accident man......! http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/sad.gif

Stupid Mitsubishi drivers (no offense to anyone on this forum)........

Lucky you have insurance!....... http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif

19th January 2006, 12:22 PM
Well i swapped the cap and leads over and it has seemed to have worked. Took it for a quick strap (in the wet http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif) and it seemed to rev out to 6,000 fine and while idling, it was smooth.

26th January 2006, 01:37 PM

26th January 2006, 01:47 PM
Well, im off to go and paint my beaver panel, stone gaurd, front valance and front apron!

26th January 2006, 08:10 PM
Got it back on aswell as the grille.

Sorry about photo, was taken this evening.

6th February 2006, 10:10 AM
Ok, i have a tyre/wheel dilemma.

Need some opinions on what i should run.

1. Full set of the mesh 14's. Rear gaurds will need to be rolled. Running 185/60 tyres

2. Full set of 15's. Keep buddys on the rear, find some cheap 15's for the front and run 195/50's all round. (i wanted to buy the white watanabe style ones josh wass elling but to late http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/sad.gif ) Means no need for gaurd love.

3. Run the rims how they are now with 185/60s on the front and 195/50s on the back. No gaurd mods needed.

The guards will be modded later on down the track when i can afford 15x8 - offset rims.

Just wondering what you guys reckon. Thanks.

6th February 2006, 10:22 AM
rolled guards are hot, u know you want to

first one sounds pretty cool

ae86 drifter
6th February 2006, 11:45 AM
nice ride dude.my ae71 will look that good one day

6th February 2006, 01:08 PM
Or option 4. Buddy clubs on front with 25mm spacer and 14s on back with rolled gaurds. Most expensive way as i have to buy tyres, spacers and gaurd rolling.

thanks ae86 drifter.

ae86 drifter
6th February 2006, 01:25 PM
those P1s look hot as

5th March 2006, 10:20 PM
New tyres on the front, and 14's polished. 185/60/14 Potenza GIII's.

5th March 2006, 10:21 PM

5th March 2006, 10:28 PM
im wanting to get some of these tyres later on, how do they feel?

5th March 2006, 10:33 PM
The polished 14's look awesome, I'd stick with those mates (not as hot as my 13 inch Cheviot Turbos though, haha, not)

ae86 drifter
5th March 2006, 10:59 PM
yeah whats the tyres like

5th March 2006, 11:00 PM
breno: only had them on for a day, they feel great though

course: yeah, worth the effort i reckon! Took like 4 hours just for 2 rims :S

6th March 2006, 01:45 AM
Hey just wondering how you polished the wheels: polisher, drill buffer-bit or sandpaper (what grit)? I've tried polishing stuff, never got a finish like that. Good work.

6th March 2006, 05:42 AM
sooooooo shiny!!

6th March 2006, 09:43 AM
Sandpaper first, 240-360-400-600-800-1200-1500 grits in order.

Then used a cutting wheel, then a polish wheel.

6th March 2006, 10:46 PM
the tyres are excellent
best slide tyres for the back of a hachi (or ke70/ae71)

they grip real well and a 4age can spin them easy.

best tyres ive run on my car so far.

6th March 2006, 11:04 PM
You drift on these??

20th March 2006, 04:36 PM
Just a little update, got a Heavy Duty Exedy put in on Friday. Havent had the chance to drive with it yet, rattling/broken exhaust has to be fixed first!

20th March 2006, 05:21 PM
Very nice! i think its the same as my clutch, or very similer... not too sure

13th April 2006, 07:04 PM

sorry for late reply

what motor do you have atm?

why did u get a heavy duty clutch for it lol

15th April 2006, 12:49 PM
Cos they are cheap when buying at trade price and i will have the 4ac for a little while and wanted something half decent as mine was rooted.

15th April 2006, 02:05 PM
so boro spec, i love this car!!![/b]

not at all. its clean.

15th April 2006, 02:38 PM
In a sense...

hmmm, there is alot of 'boro spec' cars out there then.....

16th April 2006, 06:16 AM
boro is a cheap look!!!

22nd April 2006, 01:11 PM

One side is nice and clean, the other side is looking a tad boro with yellow gaurd and shit but i like it either way.

Just need a few more pay days for the motor!

22nd April 2006, 01:29 PM
how much did u get the excedy clutch for?

22nd April 2006, 01:35 PM

22nd April 2006, 02:50 PM
that's cost right? so how much RRP?

23rd April 2006, 12:29 PM
how much for for big port 4ag clutches?

23rd April 2006, 01:17 PM
do they fit on factory 4ac flywheels?

24th April 2006, 05:40 PM
The best retail price i got was $220 i think. This is the same as a bigport clutch and it fit straight onto my 4ac flywheel. Part number is TYK-6319HD.

24th June 2006, 12:48 PM
A couple of new pics cos i can. (taken from phone)

Holy shit.
congrats man that just looks so so so so so fuckin awesome
super neat conversion too - GO KAIZEN

2nd October 2006, 01:49 PM
how did u find the 20v conversion... easy to put into the ae71 ?

3rd October 2006, 12:44 PM
its fairly straight forward.

the only "hicup" specific to the 71 was the heater feed (from the heater core) on the ex' side. although it looks the same as ae86 it is actually orientated slightly differantly and interferes with the CAS, so the cas cover had to be modified slightly, and does make the actual fitting of the engine a little more tricky as it tends to foul on this point and makes it hard to seat the engine on the mounts.

70s are differant again in this respect as the feed in question points down. this might actually make it easier, though i cant say that for sure, we have only done 1 20v 70, a beige one (used to be my car/have a 16v 4age) which doesnt run a heater at all.

everything else works as it does in an ae86, including a fully opertaing heater ect with or 20v rwd water kit.

as for wiring 70s/and 71s differ slightly from 86s. even aus 86s have an efi circuit (though un used in the aus version obviously)

in travis's car we used an OEM toyota relay box for the efi, thermo fan and fuel pump circuits (on the passenger side strut tower) this keeps the wiring looking neat and almost OE, rather than a bunch of ugly generic relays tec screwed to the body which is common in conversions.

4th October 2006, 11:28 PM
Nice as dude.....

Im planning to drop a ST 20v in mine around jan.

Hopefully itll look as good as yours...

Go check my out in the members rides aswell its under project c shizzle

Nice work on the guards mate, im guessing you bogged a bit to get it that good
what brand did you use?
i made the mistake of buying that septone car filler stuff that you mix yourself... big mistake

7th January 2007, 10:55 PM
Hey Trav

Lookin hot.

Just for the record, you need to piss those foam filter off asap; as your motor will be feeling it in the mid to long run. Foam filters dont filter down that low (in terms of micron's), and any moisture that gets attraced into them... well, lets just say they are a big sponge. I doubt anyone here would want to put a damp sponge down there manifold, and expect the motor to like it & benifite from it. K&N are expensive, and are the goods. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/wink.gif

Car is looking HOT tho http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif

7th January 2007, 11:15 PM
Still looking arsome, wish my car was as hot as yours.... Good job

KAAZ 2way

And arriving home from Adelaide last night, i find a nice little package in my room from Japan...

Techno Pro Spirits 4.77 FTW!

Plus it came with a greddy oil catch can.

1st April 2007, 02:02 PM
Finally got my hands on a digital camera and took some shots of how she looks now. Pretty much only thing different is the wheels, but i think it looks pretty tough.

Let me know what you guys think...

1st April 2007, 02:46 PM
Looks awsome just need to get a pair of meshies for the front

2nd April 2007, 12:26 AM
hmmmmm needs MKII's

forgot to tell you i got the nuts for them as well for you. SSR's are ghey they have magic nuts.

2nd April 2007, 07:36 AM
lol yeah, i reckon some MKIIs would be alright...

Ah cheers for the wheel nuts.

5th April 2007, 09:21 PM
YUUMMMMMMM that thing is awsome. love the poo brown http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/cool.gif

6th April 2007, 12:01 PM
Just needs shortened bumpers and this car would look even more off-tap. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Nice work on the guards. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/2thumbs.gif

17th April 2007, 09:58 PM
I've really gotta start getting some of this shit on to the car.

Some more parts. (Phone pics sorry)

JDM Calipers

14x7.5 -12 SSR MKIIs

Power Steering Arms

J-Office Rotors

One day this will all be in lol...

17th April 2007, 10:04 PM
sik wheels

those rotors look sex as well

18th April 2007, 02:49 PM
nice rotas and gilly spec bumpers FTW

22nd April 2007, 07:34 PM
I got the JDM brakes on. But i think they might need a kit, they bind on the rotors with no pedal pressure. Which is gay. I might give them another bleed and see how they work after that.

26th April 2007, 08:23 PM
Brakes still binding on the pads after a fresh rebuild. The pistons stay out and dont go back in. Even after bleeding etc. Maybe it cos the pads are low? But they arent that low...

This is shitting me now...

26th April 2007, 10:24 PM
This car is going to so fking hot with a full set of MKII's on it i cant wait to see it.

26th April 2007, 11:25 PM
pics of pads

27th April 2007, 11:24 AM

Sorry its off the phone, but you get the picture...

They are a little better now, i can spin them without wheels on, but they are still rubbing pretty hard on the pads and not really free spinning how they used to.

27th April 2007, 12:05 PM
don't mean to insult your skills http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif is it possible that the wheel bearings have been done up too tight? i used to see that a lot in my old shop.

i can't see a pic of the pads, but really can't see how that would be doing it anyway

27th April 2007, 12:08 PM
Nar they arent, i can spin the rotors easy without any brakes on there. I just put the wheels on and took it for a quick drive, it feels as if the rear is doing nearly all the work, but then again there are marks on the front rotors where i have been braking. I'll jack the front up again and see how they spin now after a drive.

19th May 2007, 11:44 AM
14x8 -10s on the left 14x7.5 -12s on the right.

Also got the power steering arms on, poo now has lock! Gonna have to do some guard bashing, but ill wait till the MKIIs go on.

I also put some new brake pads in, its a little better, but rear is still locking first. Fronts are biting but as i took it for a drive to bed them in, and you could smell them for about in hour in my garage lol.

20th May 2007, 01:04 AM
Words cannot describe how awesome the dish/offset is on those wheels. Quick, get some rubber on them so we can all see it on the car http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

Any plans to spray the centres or clean them up?

20th May 2007, 01:30 AM
Dude! they are actually the hottest wheels ever! 14's ftw. You gonna flare the rears?

20th May 2007, 01:41 AM
Im thinking about getting the pair of 7.5's cleaned up so they match the 8's.

Yeah im gonna have to flare the rears for the 8s to fit. Thinking of actually getting some decent rubber all round in either 185/60 or 195/60. Something like Dunlop DZ02s, Toyo R888s or Bridgestone RE55s.

31st May 2007, 05:11 PM
The rims on yet bro....?
Aching to see them in full effect...

31st May 2007, 05:16 PM
Not yet man, picking up new tyres tomorrow, then with the tyres on i have to suss out how much guard work needs to be done.

Im itching for them to be on but!

31st May 2007, 05:19 PM
real gansters don't run tyres

"make your car capable of physically handling on rails"

31st May 2007, 05:56 PM

"make your car capable of physically handling on rails"[/b]

haha the new level of gilly spec...not tyres ftw http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif

1st June 2007, 06:48 PM
Thats how far the 8s sit outta the guards. Hmm, flares maybe?

1st June 2007, 07:11 PM
lol, i think you have a simple choice there mate, flares or defect!... i'd choose flares personally...
car's looking mad bruz!!

1st June 2007, 07:50 PM
real gansters don't run tyres

"make your car capable of physically handling on rails"[/b]

HAHAHAHA!! wtf gdm spec is going downhill haha

1st June 2007, 08:24 PM
beaut wheels dude, id get the 7.5's on the front with a 185 60 and a 185 65 on the rear. Would come up nice. I think bolt on flares on the rear and flared front works nice.
