I'm running a 4age with a good condition stock radiator, with a new waterpump going in next week and I want to install thermo fan/s. Can anyone provide me tips of what fits and what setups work - 1 thermo with shroud, 2 thermos, sizes, brands, or fans from other cars etc. If you have pics please post them.

I may be able to buy a 2nd hand Davies Craig 12" thermo or a stock VR4 thermo fan from a friend, but I haven't had a chance to trial fit them yet.

Thanks

i ditched my engine fan and used a fan off one of my scrapped cars...soarer me thinks...left the standard shroud from the sprinter on and cable tied it to the radiator...works a treat....

Davies Craig are the best out there. I still haven't done mine.

I've decided to use 2 x 10" fans which will cover most of the available radiator space.

Sweet, let us know how you do it so I can decide if I should do it or not

I just fitted a thermo fan off a AE92 without too much hassle, got rid of the stock fan, this seems to keep the 4ac cool enough.

I'd ditch the clutch fan off the engine, go to a wrecker and rip off 1 or 2 thermo's off of any car that will fit your rad and make em fit.

Thermofans are only useful when your car is stationary and gets no airflow, and so long as your rad is in good condition and flows well, you dont need to go overboard with a massive farkoff expensive thermo. Thermo's do very little once your car goes over 30km/h or so.
