thought id start a new thread seeing as the old one was a bit cluttered with pic requests.

anyway the cars history is as follow..

things were going along quite nicely building up my last adm ae86... http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forum/in...?showtopic=1297 (http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forum/index.php?showtopic=1297)

but as you may be able to gather that car has since been sold to rory south, ( we call him rory south because this is rory north http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forum/in...?showtopic=1606 (http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forum/index.php?showtopic=1606) )

anyway, i got an opurtunity too good to refuse, so i acted and after a little waiting this is the result

my handy work, please note, there is ZERO BOG in that guard, if you want me to perform the same work on your guards pm me.

http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/4/8/4/3/87264.jpg

the car was purchased off good friend Anthony http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forum/in...pic=596&hl= (http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forum/index.php?showtopic=596&hl=)

at a most reasonable price, so thanks goes out to him, also a big cheers goes out to brett http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forum/in...p?showtopic=505 (http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forum/index.php?showtopic=505)

specs

1986 levin hatch

driveline

ae111 type 4age (black top). with FSD (firing sequence determination unit) for conversion to DFI using factory ECU.

engine is also properly converted to rwd using JDM ae86 water pump (with intergrated thermostat) and alternator bracket. standard rear housing has thermostat remove and is modified to redirect water back through the head.

clutch seems to be a twin plate http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/ph34r.gif (rattles when engaged), t50 transmission with short shift and factory 4.3 ratio disc brake t series diff with clunky aftermarket lsd.

suspension front is coilovers with 5 way ajustable trd inserts and swift springs (weight unknown, but around 6kg i think) cusco tops, (the ones with a little extra castor) T3 rcas, pillow tension rods, sigma control arms, power steering knuckle arms, ra60 rack ends and after market 2 piece tie rod ends.

rear is tockico HTS dampners, lowered springs (weight unknown, maybe not quite 6kg though) pillow lateral bar, and traction brackets.

brakes have braided brake lines.

interior is completely stripped and painted grey, fixed back bucket for driver and willans harness. nardi wheel and 40mm spacer. rear 1/4 windows are "acrylic". also has really nice black dash and door trims.

outside has cby front back, factory? plastic steps, all kouki lighting, cf bonnet and flared front guards (by me).

wheels are ssr mesh on the front, 15x7.5 -6. rear are ssr super fins 15x8.5 +20 with 25mm bolt on spacers and and funky aluminium wheel nuts.

think thats about it. cheers.

P.S if youre willing to pay the right price EVERYTHING on the car is for sale, but dont ask in here, just send me a pm. cheers.

9th April 2006, 09:11 PM
so what other bits will you be selling with the new engine going in?

slydar
10th April 2006, 04:27 PM
nothing. maybe the front bar/side skirts. pretty much everything else that came off that car went into my KE. exceptfor the tockikos which are sold.

the only thing of interest that might be for sale is the exhaust system... but you would need a jdm bellhousing.

I find it hard to believe those rears are 15x8.5s +20 with some 25mm bolt ons (making the offset abouts -5) without any flaring of the rear guards???

Gilly
7th August 2006, 06:41 PM
guards look to have been lipped, but seriously don't look like they have been flared.

Kerryx
7th August 2006, 07:18 PM
as far as i know they have been flared recently?

slydar

I find it hard to believe those rears are 15x8.5s +20 with some 25mm bolt ons (making the offset abouts -5) without any flaring of the rear guards???[/b]

the rear guards apear standard. but theyre not really, they were completely rusted away, and rebuilt with small sections of ultra thin stainless steel tack welded in place and covered over with ALOT of bog. by fluke or on purpose when the repair was performed the guards ended up being a little wider than stock. that being said its offset, not width really the cause you to need to flair you guards. the tire is in the same place, just the side way stretched out more.

for example take cass's wheels. we used to own them. 15x8 -3 theyre on his car right now, all it takes to fit them is a light rolling of the inner guard. the extra half inch of width on my old wheels only equates to 6 mm more on the outside. then add 2mm more offset. not really a big deal.

this is what i had to do to repair the car

http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/4/8/4/3/111384.jpg

and this is where im upto now
