Does it come from a little speaker on the top of the dash pad? Because if it does I now know what that thing is.

there is no "annoying bell chime fuse" so you cant defure it without taking other shit out as well. grill above dash cluster is climate control not chime.

remove ashtray and find the 2 pin plug (chime is behind little vent blanking where a USDM cigaratte lighter would go) and unplug.

Yeah the chime is quite annoying. though it is a good indication if you accidently push it in an 80 zone or something hehe

i was told about a year ago 1 of the wires behiend the headunit section powers the chime, once cut it will stop, which colour one is it

Wally

can't you just unplug it to save cutting it?

The chime is on the opposite side of the cigarette lighter as millions have said already. , just pull the ash tray out, put your hand in there, find the wires, then about 50mm worth of wire which ends with a 2 wire spade fitting plug, unplug it, leave it, and hear it chime when you do jumps..
