i pretty much left toymods after discovering this site.. i got into too many fights on there. I got into a fight with someone the first day i joined up to toymods. I dunno bout the new site, i had a quick glance but im honestly not too interested..
although, when this site (dc) first came, i believe there was some controversey on toymods about it wasnt there?

I must say i like this site much better, its more of a community and really very friendly.

i know how you feel boys it does suck but i think they are feeling the backlash now as more and more people dun go on site toyota enthusiest who want to sell stuff there will not have as much exposure meaning fewer sponsors

I still visit the toymods forums I find that it is a great resource of technical information / discussion which this forum has been lacking in the last couple of months.

Whether this is true or not I don't know, but it would make sense to some extent. As to why they are asking for address and so forth. That is enough to run a police check basically :

Apparently I heard that they had the problems with the for sale section as people where selling stolen goods and they where getting a lot of backlash from it.

But hey I thought toymods was shit anyway, to many idiots

Well its good to see that a old picture which was posted on that site is true

http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/526/toyfags1ed.th.jpg (http://img17.imageshack.us/my.php?image=toyfags1ed.jpg)

and after weeks of waiting to post to attend a ae86 event posted there i cannot sign on *it !!! i really think yes the old forum was full of slaging , fights etc . But that did make it better due to people having to think before posting. The new forum is just reposted information of the old site mostly. As far as sprinter stuff goes on that forum LOL there are really living years behind what most people have done or are doing on most ae86 forums. Ow didn't i give any money ! i don't live in New South Wales so why the hell would anyone pay from interstate to join that club. Benefits ? like a load of ripoff companys just selling stuff that too many people are selling !! thats available from so many suppliers and even ebay . If you want any of those parts just go to nissansilvia.com since all these companys / people are all buying though companys like greenline , OOParts etc . There are all just ordering in such small quanitys that the discount would be the same if you just saved up and ordered all you parts directly i one order .

This is mainly i believe due to there attitude against non toyota parts being used in any conversions etc. Staying in that state of thought they will never move foward in the development of there cars. As far as new information i have read there NONE . The same people talking about doing work / finishing there cars which instead of driving have been sitting around gathering dust for years. By time there conversions and cars might be finished there will not be petrol , mostly due to the fact of ONLY using toyota parts which have nearly all dryed up in any usable worth anyway. There ideas and vehicle will be so old in state of modification that it really wouldn't have been worth the time to get that level of performance anyway!

There's still a few good people that post some really good stuff there NOT. But the most are just rehashing old dated information . That sprinter guy on there i cannot remember his name ? but his signature has something about a improved production racing sprinter ? ipra or somthing . Anyway the post are just like reading toymods.org posts about three or four years ago . The same dated information with no data to back up and such modification i am sure its all just REPOSTING .

Really i have never seen this car at any round of the IPRA in any state or series ? the guys in that series or anyother with toyotas would never bother posting there anyway as that might bring people up to speed with there developments . Not just some old information that some guy read on the internet years ago and really has no idea how to do . Yeah really its all theory and no facts. A lap time would be a fact LOL.

And as far as drift that seems to be a dirty word there .

Also this might be why it is so " A picture is worth a thousand words "

highly organised car clubs, or overly organised...like with secretary's and vice presidents and shit...are just...shit.

seriously its not a golf club or a fucken commitee or someshit...

the new rep system is fuel for power hungry idiots...while the lap dogs gag for it and try to be cool....

having said that, there are some champs on that forum, but most are on here anyway http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/cool.gif

ps, takai is very real, as is his car.

I stopped visiting the toymods forums when I realised that the majority of people there were 16 year olds driving their mum's camrys.
It wasn't always like that. I did find the site very useful three years ago when I had a thrasher KE35
