most apprenticeships that blokes have on this site is automotive mechanic me thinks

it fits your criteria. practical, good learning environment. I don't know but I think the hours aren't that bad. I'm assuming you like/own an ae86, so it'd be pretty useful being one too.

i was a mechanic, good skills to be learnt you get heaps out of it but the moneys shit. qualified $500 take home a week and thats an above award wage. if i had my time again i'd be a builder, my brother in law is a 4th year apprentice builder and he takes home 580 a week and it goes up to $650 when he's qualified. then if he builds for himself like his bosses do then you take home, well they took home $120,000 this year plus bought Xr6 utes for work. Electrician would be handy don't know about coin though.

if you work in a dealership, yes...i work on mainly subaru's and they arent low tech, and the only diagnostic things i have done is check error codes (on stock ones ofcourse)

just because they have 8 processors etc etc doesnt mean that they dont have all the things cars has 30 years ago...so they have to be adressed.

depends on what interests you...as far as trades go sparkies & plumbers get paid the best.

im currently 2nd yr sparky and the pay/conditions are great...36hr week, rdo every 2 weeks + travel/fares/allowances

by the time im qualified the going rate will be $36 p/h

construction is where the money is...site allowance, rdo's, eba pay rates, excellent penalty rate scheme...as it is i clear anywhere from 600-1000 depending on overtime

sales is good
anything with a decent hourly rate or where the rate can be increased with you increased knowledge
how much do u want to earn?
are you good at problem solving?
you should really ask people in each industry what it is like. i mean the ones that have been doing it for a long time not apprentices, no disrespect intended

Why buy a truck and Bobcat? Just become a man-whore and hire yourself out full stop. Biggest overheads will be a leopard print G string and a portable CD player.

My friend worked as a labourer and got $20 an hour, or around $800 a week full time, then he became a juniour plasterer and got $25 an hour I think, $1000 a week and a fully qualified plasterer gets more like $30 or $40 an hour.

Also supply teachers get about $50 an hour...

Network administrator???
I'm an it support trainee officer, when I've finish my training I'll bee on 600-700 a week.
if I was to go onto be a network administrator I'd be on 900+ a week but there's to much study to be a network administrator, I'm happy just being an it support officer.
