cheers matey, bit of a bastard getting ain and out butso worth it.

rear side windows didnt create a huge weight lost, but the wind up and down windos were very heavy particually with all the mechanism for it, now they r fixed and bout a 1/4 the weight... plus my new sneaky lexan rear hatch (not just rear window, the whole thing is one peice PET-G) made a massive difference

is it me, or are your seats on a big slope back wards?

or is that just how fixed back seats sit?

.wolfwood
18th January 2006, 12:24 AM
josh what kind of seats are those?

mr2drift
18th January 2006, 07:53 AM
they used to be quite sloped backwards, but i have made new fixed mounts that position them more upright and also a lot lower than before...

they are both SPATS racing buckets, LOL both slightly differant, but close enough.

Both seats were bought at seperate times for less than $100 each. Timing and luck i guess!

.wolfwood

yeh for sure Josh, i was thinking about tapping the top layer with a drill bit, then hitting it with a quick burst of MIG http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif mmmmm stiffness is good

mr2drift
20th January 2006, 08:43 PM
lotsa extra work that way, but would be good. Just running a small inch long bead every 3-4 inches is enough though, on the joints, makes a huge differance. and yeh gotta love the sound of gravel and shit off the road hitting the floor, sounds cool, for a while, when we did the trip to adelaide when it was yellow, that was a bit much though, had massive headaches after that one....

Just gave it a touch up Ev. Sprayed it black about a year and a half ago, but it needed a fresh coat on some bits.
