Well i've finally decided to get out of the stone age and hook up to adsl. Just wondering what you guys have.

Speed?
Download Limits?
Price per month?

I'm looking at the TPG $49.95 per month, 512/128 with 20gb of limit. If over the limit the speed just slows down, no extra charges.

Thanks guys!

sharpie, did you install the filter on the line correctly? you need a filter for the phon eline going into the computer and for every phone in the house unless they are on a seperate line.

i have aapt 512/128 with a 12gb limit $39 a month and shaped if you go over. its packaged with home phone.

12gb is plenty for me and it takes a fair amount of dedication to go over it in a month.

I've got broadband with Optus, 12gb, with free downloading between 2am-9am (or something)

optus plans (http://www1.optusnet.com.au/offers/optusbroadband/?tas=custmgt)

No problems with phone, speed slows if you go over and is still fine for browsing.

adsl is broadband...
sounds like a problem with your line filter, or u don't have one.

I'm on bigpond cable, $59 a month, the speed is quite fast but only 10G limit on dl's.
