^^^thats the link to the vid and in the part where the guy presses on the clutch while hes drifting about 3 to 4 times really fast.......why does he do it??

Called clutch popping/kicking/torturing? http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif (or other things) frequently used in most ae86's (Some maybe not, due to decent power to be able to slide with).

It's just delivering a quick jolt of torque to the rears to step the ass out more or keep it sliding. Basically it's done to drift/keep drifting an underpowered car. That is my understanding.

Clutch kick is used and needed by many drifters, not just underpowered cars, although underpowered cars tend to do it more often to help hold the drift.

hes doing it to keep it from bogging down and gripping up

not to get it to slide
just to keep it out there longer
