Being overweight I decided today that I'll go on a diet of Japanese food, the only problem is I don't know were to buy their stuff http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/ph34r.gif

There are restaurants but I want to cook this type of food myself. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/ph34r.gif

Any places around Bankstown? And what is your favourite dish? http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

hey i work at noodle box and the chefs who are top chefs from china usually drink a big bowl of chicken stock in the morning for breakfast, bowl of wok fried vegies and sauce then a bowl of rice along with it. i can bearly finish on bowl of rice and vegies mixed when hungry, i dont know how they do it because there both small?!?

anyway heres a quick recipe for a simple dish just chop up some capsicum, onion, spring onions, meat (which ever) get some beanshoots and some frozen little prawns (aka shrimps lol, defrost when needed)

chuck some oil in the wok (not too much just to coat if not non stick)
chuck meat and onions (just so the onions arnt too crispy, but some lik em cripsy ish)
let cook 4 a bit
chuck rest of vegies (+ some chicken stock if u have it)
let i cook 4 a bit
chuck in noodles (or if wanting rice, pre-cook it put in after meat) noodles also depending if preecooked as well)
chuck in sauce *recomended with kuai teow with ingredient listed*
let i cook until done

change the vegies and sauces u put in and u have simply but different dishes

nice sauces include peanut satay, soy (if feeling adventurous ad a bit of ginger), teriyaki etc

hope that helps

Not trying to say that you don't need to exercise, being in a office most of my week I usually don't have time.

That's the great thing about Japanese food, you feel more energetic and at the same time loosing weight just by eating.

Me being active is really hard, every fat bold accountant knows were I'm coming from.

But yeah, a diet is always a bit harsh.

You can get fat by eating japanese food. Its the quantaty you eat. You can eat anything you want and lose weight its just working out how many calories you eat compared to how active you are. You can lose weight by not going out of the way and exercising, but you will end up losing muscle too in the process. Best way is to eat a descent breakfast medium sized lunch and small dinner. Plus make it that you dont snack on crap after 7.30 pm, as you will just be storing energy which means if not used it goes to fat. Dont eat lots of bread, just have it for breakfast and/or lunch.

And exercise frequently, this is just to keep from losing muscle.

Dont make it out to be a diet, just be aware what you eat and make up for it by exercising or eat even less in your next meal to counter it.

Japanese TAFE student told me you should eat until your 80% full and small quantities more often accept night time. Also to sleep a minimum of 7 hours and keep a positive mind.

Edit: I never said that you shouldn't exercise, it's just that I have no time.

Yeah, Genetics at the pub http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/wink.gif or at McGarbage

Some people should eat more than others or less but it also has to do on what you eat.

No, the Geneteics of the Japanese population in general pre-disposes them to having a faster metabolism, the same as an isolated population in northern italy is genetically pre-disposed to being "immune" to heart disease.....Focusing on eating Japanese food for dieatary purposes is just pointless, you can still overeat no matter what you eat.

Your the knucklehead, how many fat Jap's do you know, sure there are other ways of loosing weight and I agree with all of them but what's wrong with Japanese food? What's stoping me from eating different food? You?

Sure I can gain weight by eating a lot of Japanese food, Duh!! just like anything else, but eating a dish of tofu or fish instead of what I usually eat (READ: BAD FOOD HABITS) at restaurants with my work colleagues has a lot less calories and it's healthier, so you can say I'm doing better, or letters cheese and tomato on brown bread, that's good too I'm not saying that it isn't.

It doesn't look like you spent much time reading my posts, more like your hachiless and giving me ruff time cause of your misfortune me thinks.

I'm going to eat the same quantity that Japanese people eat until him 80% full, I don't care what you have to say, you are what you eat FULL STOP.

I'm really sick of your attention seeking behaviour and obnoxious comments to other members. You posted up your intentions of starting this supposed "diet" on a public forum and then you proceed to flame anyone who offers constructive criticism of it.

attention seeking behaviour http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/blink.gifÂÂÂ# Obnoxious comments http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/blink.gif Your quick to judge.
and you're slow to learn.

everyone has been quite patient with you... you've been impatient and obnoxious with everyone else. you're really quite offensive, in a childish kind of way. but maybe you're used to getting away with it... maybe you were a spoiled child?

here today, you've displayed;

- a total inability to learn
- an absolute lack of understanding regarding basic biology (and basic nutrition)
- refusal to accept advice you have asked for
- total lack of respect for your peers on the forum

and a note to all; please, feel free to add dot-points regarding DORIO86's issues as they see them arise... it might make a good thread starter of it's own. [/b]
In case you missed that,

and just randomly run when u could be walking/driving etc.
and randomly skip too.

not only is it exercise but you smile and release happy endorphins which motivate you to exercise more.

and there are overweight asians but most of them are outside of asia. (read as diet changes and they put on weight)
