I bought this car a couple of weeks ago completely standard from a lady who has owned it since 1 year old and kept full service history. Its practically mint, no rust what so ever.

I've had some MA61 Supra Alloys sitting around for a while, so I just had them polished, put some new Yokohama C-Drive 195/60/14 tyres on them and fitted them up. I'll probably paint the unpolished bits of the wheels in black at some point. Unfortunatly I only have 3 center caps so if someone has a spare please PM me.

The only other modification so far is a pair of AJPS braided brake lines as the standard ones needed replacing for roadworthy.

I've ordered a bunch of suspension and braking bits, mostly from AJPS. Hopefully it should arrive within the next 2 - 3 weeks.

Heres the list:
T3 Rear 4-Links
T3 Panhard Rod
6kg rear springs
8kg front springs
Tokico HTS Shocks (Set of 4)
Shortened struts
koni coilover sleeve kit
T3 upper hat bearing system
T3 camber tops
T3 Negative Camber RCA
T3 Front Strut brace w/ Tribars
T3 Shifter bush
Spin Turn Knob
Slotted and Vented Front Rotors
JDM Brake Calipers
Caliper Rebuild Kits
RaceBrakes Pads

More pics here (http://www.andor-86.com/photos.html) if you're keen.

I'm in Mebourne and have signed upto the ae86 circuit battle at winton in april which will be my first trackday. Probably won't have an LSD by then so won't be drifting.

The 4AC stays for the moment and will be the last thing to go. I plan to replace it with a rebuilt hi-comp smallport 16v 4age with quads when finances permit.

Thanks Dave at AJPS for some great advice and friendly service.

Hopefully pics of all my new gear in a few weeks http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

* EDIT * Things are taking longer than expected and with the ae86 circuit battle gone I'm now aiming for the VicDrift day at winton in June by which time i'll have an LSD. All my stuff should arrive this week updates after easter.

It's good to see a new hachi owner who has investigated what they're getting themselves into and whose set a longterm plan for the car, starting with the most important parts.

Then again you dont state its your first ae86 so maybe its from experience.

Anyways hope to see you at winton. Will be interesting to scope what a 4AC with good suspension mods can do. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif

poh 86: no spacers

Bathurst-91: This is actually my second ae86. The first one was in very bad condition I bought it because it was all I could afford at the time. I started pulling it apart with plans to fix it, currently it is still in bits and i'll probably part it out. So I didn't learn a great deal from that car, but it kept me interested till I could really afford to get into it. While I was doing all that however I learned as much as I could about the ae86 and followed other owners progress.

The only downside to my approach is that I won't be able to feel the change that each part makes as I slowly upgrade the car piece by piece.

This is my first project car and I plan to do most of the work myself so it should be a steep learning curve.

Some asshole keyed my car! On the drivers side door. Not too badly but !@#$%^&. Drive a hyundai excel for 3 years no problem, a sprinter for 3 weeks and look what happens! Is this sort of thing common place?

Na only paid $3200, I looked at that $7500 one. This is just as good minus the window tint, which is worth like $250.

Centercaps and a pair of AE86DC stickers. Not a big sticker fan so thatll be all.

Attempting to remove front struts from my other sprinter this weekend as changover for the ones coming. Using only a shifter and $10 socket set, wish me luck. (Don't worry I have coil compressors).

So much for 'give it 2 weeks' a month and a half since I ordered my parts they have finally arrived.
http://www.andor-86.com/images/bits.JPG
I picked up a couple of center caps to replace the one I was missing, thanks to ryguy86. I've also got a nardi and bosskit on the way, thanks to orido.

Unfortunatly both the ends for the strut brace I was sent are for the same side. I will be installing it all in 3 weeks time hopefully.

I like, nice collection of parts there.

It's good that you're doing sus and brakes first as I wish I had done that before I put the 4age in.

Andor
8th May 2006, 10:18 PM
Yeah trying to stick to my plan but its so tempting sometimes to lose the plot and throw in a 4ag as the 4ac is quite uninspiring. Drove my hyundai excel the other day for the first time in ages and it actually seemed fast compared to 4ac power http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif, still hate it tho! Anyways I found a leaking bottle of brake fluid in the side compartment of the boot where the jack goes courtesy of the previous owner. It has caused the paint to peel away from the inside panels and some rust has formed, nothing major but still http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/angry.gif.
