Ok, I just spent the arvo downloading the demo. Seems it can't find a track. Can anyone help??

Oh I found the problem. When the computer un-zip'ed the file it must have stuffed it up. I did it the 2nd time and everything is cool.

I must say I am not all that impressed. The steering responce sucks. I know there is a fast steer button but it doesn't let you counter steer under power. Don't know why it was programed that way.

ive never saved a replay...how the hell do you do it?

Press "2" and then go "save replay"

If you can't save by pressing 2 go to options>game. And at the top of that list there's two options set them to "enable - Manual save"

So when you press 2 it'll prompt you to name them. Then go to the main menu where it says multiplayer, single player etc. Then go to replays and you can watch them.

Did my set help you at all?

As I said throw some supers on it all round and maybe drop the tyre pressure and make the rear camber not as negative, then that'll give you a really good starting point.

Lol, Twinning isn't anything that great. Most of the time you get people who are too quick and don't slow down or too slow and you get inpatient with them or just the mentally retarded who don't know how to slow down mid drift and hit you.

Guys what settings do you use for your sway bars? I noticed by pressing F9 it changes the tire wear but also increases decreases roll under/over steer.

Lazy: I can't remember my sway bar settings.

But to initiate the drift I do a combination of things.
-Scandinavian Flick (Big feint)
-Hand brake + clutch + weight shift + downchange
-Normall handbrake entry with clutch engaged and accel on.
-Handbrake entry with clutch engage and no accel.
-Brake drift
-Clutch kick and downshift

I dont have to try to initiate my drifts just a little weight transfer and i'm off.

I didn't make mine, I got a guy off a forum to make mine. But use photoshop and get creative.

You can find the original template in your LFS>Data>Skins

Edit that, then save it under another name and load the bitch up.

you have to earn credits to be able to use the other cars (only the next 2 on the right of the hatch back in demo).

either that or get someone to send you their data file which should have credits on it.

Go here (http://www.liveforspeed.net/?page=addons) and download and install the LFS S2 Patch Q and hopefully, it'll work.

haha that scoring thing is pretty lame. I mean, it's a nice idea, but doesn't work very accurately. I just fish tailed it the whole way around the track and i got 1596 points..

Would there be a way to make it so it only counts on corners?

I got 2400, manji up the all the straights, angle gets more points than speed in that point scoring stuff but personally i don't like it.

It is worth it if you want to grip-race whatever, but drifting is not big there. Demo, there are more servers for drift.

Yeah you WILL find that the full version is less drift orientated than demo, but the drift in the full version is far beyond the demo drift, with people drifting the higher powered cars on more complex tracks, it's just more exciting to watch and participate, especially when some of them have matching cars, looks cool.

And yeah, the grip racing is awesome lol, they brought out a new F1 car, gets up to around 340km/h.

I think my best score on any of the servers for drift is 1600ish. Couple times I've hit 1800 but either been taken out or spun. Best on dc is 1414.

Another vote by me for a password. I have no problem with people from other countries as long as they dont lag heaps and cause trouble, but mostlikely 3/4 of them do. I have the full game, you still sometimes get that (but the chance of that happening was like 1/50). Most people play on private servers to get the most out of the demo, cause that is where you can truely see how good people are without idiots on there. Before S2 full was released, all the people that bought the game were forced to race with the demo racers, which always caused trouble. The only solution was to password servers so people could actually race without getting smashed off turn one....

I'm sick of the people who go to the server. They're usually from europe and they lag, and they enjoy ramming you in pits, or parking in your spot so whenever you unpit you go flying. They aim to annoy people and generally make it unenjoyable. I end up leaving after a few minutes.

I agree with this. I never have to many problems with other people, no more than a bit of fun. And if there is a major dickhead in there it usually doesnt take long for him to get kicked.

I bought my copy of s2 last year using credit card. There are thousands of people that have bought s2 without a problem with a credit card. The only real way you can buy s2 in australia is that way. When buying online, just gotta make sure that little padlock is shown on the bottom of IE, meaning SSL security has been enabled and everything should be fine http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif They used a proper bank aswell to carry out purchase so you are in safe hands really....

The whole process took like 5mins, and I was online at the 6th minute.....

Yeah I bought it in January, cost me about $45 i think. Worth every cent, once you play S2 online, it's hard to go back onto demo because it's so bloody boring, 1 track and 3 different cars, 2 of which are terrible.

I strongly recommend anyone who plays lfs a fair bit to just buy S2, you'll never look back.

The design of the shifter is well thought out. You have your full 6 gated gears + reverse (reverse requires you to push down the shifter, then move the shifter to where 6th is) then rotate the dial and you get into sequential mode. The feel of it though is a little lacking, but for the price i cant complain.

Pedals are all high quality, bolted together in a metal housing with great pedal feel (accel is pretty uniform in feel, brake gets stronger as you go, and clutch is in between both). Wheel is wrapped in leather, with stainless steel center and paddles, two high speed force feed back motors to help rotate the wheel 900Degrees.

Most large retailers have it now at full retail price (harvey norman, JB, eb). JB are the cheapest, with a price tag of 449, but ive heard from some people you can haggle with them down to 430 (then perhaps take that price to harvey norman or eb for more money off). It was supposed to be out on the 29th of September at EB games, but after going to my local eb there were none in stock. There was a limited first batch of these going to all major retailers (about 2000 shipped to australia). Im pretty sure JB got the most. Only problem is all these places sell it at full retail (exluding jb). A computer stores that ordered before the major retailers missed out, and their supply will be coming around Christmas time or after. These computer stores sell it for under 400, BUT it is unkown if they will ever get their stock in as this wheel is a limited run.

The 2000 that came to australia were shipped with a EURO power cable, which had to be swapped for the australian one (hence why it was not out on the 29th of september). I picked mine up (the only box at eb) on the 4th of october. Dont mind paying the 500 as i wanted a new set of pedals for my old momo racing wheel (the A1's to be exact, costing around 300 alone).
