i basically would like to know what it says in the title. i thinking of doing the 4age conversion and have an s-series but was wondering how the borgy (from a KE70) would take it?

My mate is still using the borg, no probs yet (been going for atleast 6-9months). It really depends how you drive it. Even a T-series will break if you drive like a dick.

if you're referring to ke70 diffs then they are borgwarners...

im running an s series with a 20v and a microtec and its holding up alright

rosco was running a borgy and a 20v and bent axles pretty regularly

grant runs a borgy and a 16v and doesnt seem to have problems

i guess it all comes down to driving style

Ke70 borgy's are great when you get over the 3.89 ratio

S-series in my opinion are a failure, in the two years ive been thrashing mine (and still holding up) one of my mates has gone through 5 s series lockers

Lockers don't really last. They just flog themselves.

The borgys are surprisingly tough. I ate the open 3.9 that came with my AE71 in about 8 months, but it was 400k before the 20v got to it. It never failed just became really sloppy. I mainly swapped it because the handbrake was failing. Ive heard they will skip teeth sometimes but keep working when really flogged.

T series lsd is where its at for a 4age. Worth the money for sure.:oh:
