Engine:
port polished blue printed big port head

high flow oil pump
apex 4 into 1 extractors imported from japan( nice sound)
19 row oil cooler and remote oil filter relocation kit( sold need better kit)
stainless steel bash plate under engine
soon to be running gen3 coils
All runned by a wolf 3d v4(sold, now running microtech ltx 10.) Never actually got the car running properly with the wolf.
Custom surge tank with walbro fuel pump( peice of shit fake walbro sold) replace with decent bosch pump and decent lift pump as well.

Suspension:
HTS 102's,
ajps coilovers at the front with 8kg front and 6kg rear springs.
cusco camber tops
Techno toy tuning four links, lateral bar, traction brackets and bump steer spacers.
TRD 2way LSD
sigma lower control arms which have had a backing plate welded on for strength,
ra40 tie rod ends. ( sold, standard arms welded for strength ect ect.)
New ball joints and nurothane bushes on control arms and tie rods.

Looks:
stock wheels at front due to drifting misshap. ( Now 8.5inch -21 offset ssr reverse meshies)
SSR reverse mesh 15ich 9inch wide -9 offset at rear.
Origin Lab body kit, cheap phillo flares on rear, fibre glass hatch for rear yet to be fitted( sold)
Stock bonnet with bonnet vent cut in. ( now colour coded frp vented vision r bonnet)

Interier:
Cheap black fixed back buckets,
9 dollar nardi steering wheel off ebay, quick release steering wheel adapter,

The car is yet to be dyno tuned, so I'm not really sure yet. Feels quick though.

irally's previous best with quads was 78rwkw im not sure how the solex's will affect the power output, is the engine the exact same specs as he was using?

Yes except for the extractors. Mine look a bit bigger than the ones he had on it from what I've seen from photos.
Solexes are soon to be replaced for 20v quads. In search of hopefully more power and a neater looking set up. May go for bigger cams soon to ( anyone got any?)
The cams havn't being dialed in yet either. ira11y thinks 90kw is possible out of this engine. With a dyno tune and the cams dialed in.

rb_sil80
14th April 2006, 10:32 AM
90kw's seems highly possible. if you go for quads try get a set of blacktop ones, those cams need ALOT of air! i think with the cam's dialed in properly and dyno tuned properly you could be able to achieve more the 90rwkw. my 20v is dead stock and it made 90rwkw with just a microtech. im also using 1JZGTE injectors but they are no where near their maximum duty cycle.

japlish
15th April 2006, 11:28 PM
Would black top quads really make that much difference. Because I've all ready got some silver top one's coming. Do you think the unquie design of Ira11ys cams are holding me back. Because i was contemplating bigger ones any way. I think there 260 intake 280 exhauste. Rather than 272 and 272 or something like that any way.

well from the start about 4 years ago to know we have achieved quite abit of trying different things
any way the 1st motor had trd cams and valve springs 11,5 to comp 45mm trd quads on and extractors was tuned at motecs engine dyno and it made 225hp with 98octane fuel
i then proceeded over to pauls where he finished off the tune ,but we did a power run 1st to see from motecs engine to chassis dyno we acheived 133kws and from more fine tuning we ended up with 135kws
about 6 months later went back with a set off extractors from TRD power and more fuel up to 146kws but lost alot of torque
last year with new engine 12 to 1 comp new cams and vvti enabled and 47mm quads on and extrators we moved power up to 8800rpm and a flat torque curve power now is 163kws at back wheels .
today with 50mm quads power and torque has gone up ,what i thought was good with 163kws off power and torque ,didnt think it could get any better ,was i wrong 179.3kws now at the back wheels
so with a bit more devolopment i cant see why i cant get 190 rwkws from 2 liters of na power

taken from toymods. now this is with a 3sge motor but it goes to show much much differance it makes.

with big cams the more air you can get to them the better.

with the dams dailed in properly and the car tuned properly itd probably be bloody awsome. the cams are customised to the engine which mean they will probably perform alot better once its all calibrated properly.

its up to you though whether you get blacktop quads or not.

dont go uneven on the cams unless you have cylinder head flow data to suggest you need to.

there was some science in 1rallys engine build, so i would be trying to get the electronics fully sorted and a good tune and then go from there.

ST throttles have a 43mm butterfly with a nice flattened off shaft. i think they theoretically can flow 180hp. so theyre a decent start.

i dont know what manifold you have/plan to use, but if its t3 its designed to work with the ST throttles anyway.

90rwkw is a realistic goal i think.

no its really not. the point i tried to make is it is unlikely to be a bottle neck in his engine build, so dont worry. why would i crowd my answer going into unnecessary detail?

yes the taper helps. actually about 7* is what you should aim for a constant ram. but who cares.

from anything i have seen first hand on a flow bench, it is the exhaust side that needs to play catch up on a 4ag.

They are 15 diamiter, 8.5 inches wide, with a -21 offset.
Front flares haven't being fitted yet. Coilovers need raising as well. They stick out 5cm more on each side then the back 9inch wide rears, so i think I'll need to take off the sigma LCA's or get really big spacers for the rear if that's possible.

what you doin with your current bonnet after you get your frp one??
you goin to mallala on 23rd?

Bonnet is pritty shaged but the vent in it is new. So will probably sell the vent and if the buyer really wants it the bonnet to.

I was lucky enough to find a engine allready done. I bought it from a guy with forum name of Ira11y who's from sydney. Quads and all that I put on then got then balanced by Fours and More when I got my Microtech installed.
