Heya All,
I have come from a long Subaru History:
WRX (awesome power),GT Forester, Heavily Modified RX Turbos (offroad events).
My first car experiences were Toyota KE70, KE55, T18 so I guess I like many are back to my roots.
Although I loved my Rex and its awesome acceleration and top speeds it really lacked the fun factor around town and was very impressed by the rides I had in my brothers Trueno.
So the hunt for a suitable project started. With Takumi Tax on top of the normal RedBook price the Sprinter appeared to be out of my reach so I started looking at the AE71 and KE70's (good availability, price).
After about 3 months of searching I stumbled across my toy in Victoria (yes 2000km away).
I took the plunge, purchased and then flew down to pick it up.
Very impressed with my purchase. Although it still pretty much stock (4AC) etc I am having a blast. Very good condition is easy to throw into a slide.
Future Plans:
Blacktop 20V
Suspension
Drift
Went to Qld Raceway today to see whats happening in the drift scene. Was really great until the rain washed the event out but I am pretty inspired and look forward to getting on the track.
