sr20de/det into a ke70. Things needed

Weighing up the options of chucking 4age or sr in my car. mayb even ca. just want some info on all the things i would need and the things id need done/ have to do. Any information needed i would like to know every little thing about it because when k rudds bonus comes in i want to buy and engine and not piss it up the wall in town.

What suspension setup are you running at the moment?

Yeh just bout to pay off my custom ajps coilovers 6kg springs, cusco cambertops and rca's another 800 or so bucks and 4.5kg springs with excel g shocks in rear. And getting some small parts like corona lca's and that slowly. My 4k is knackered so im going to get somethign newer:)

Well, if i did it again i would
buy a front cut (800-1500 DE) or 3500 DET
take it all out, and bolt it into the KE (redrill the SR crossmember) and make a custom mount for the GB.
THen get ur tailshaft made and pay someone for the wiring.

im doing the sr conversion atm so far hasnt been to hard, any problems that have come up are in my build thread...

why is it gay? its a cheaper option for making your ke70 have good power

if u want to do it properly its not worth using an s13 crossmember in mine i run a 4a crossmember with modified metal engine mounts

iv been in a car with this setup and it handles like absolute ass!!

the lca's sit on a really wak angle and it just understeers like a bitch!!

yea i only said use the s13 x member because its easy.

in mine we used 4k mounts. just cut them off the x member, cut them down and dummie fitted them till we found a position we liked then welded them. just used 38mm poly mounts.
and for the gearbox it was similar. cut the mounts off the RB box xmember and welded them to the k50 cross member. neither of them were to hard.

ill take pics of the mounts when i have them off the car so you can see.

i was lucky enough to get a ae71 pedal box and the mainfold just misses the master cylinder.

the RB box is from a r32,a31,c33. then bolt on a SR bellhousing.

I used a r31 skyline diff, so i dont break shit when i turbo it, and it was cheap

Am finding it a bit difficult atm to find an sr20de in adelaide but im sure one will pop up. Also the guy making the kit for them is mocking one up in a week or so, so ill be checking it out then. Hopefully all goes to plan and its reasonably simple. Keep the info coming its really helping:) cheers Troy

Fuck it. decided to wait for buddy parts to get some jdm engines and will go
4age or 4agze if i can raise the dollars. Another few months wait by the sounds of it. Have to wait and see i spose. Hopefully can get my hands on one sooner.
