Picked this beauty up a few years ago for $400. 1984 AE71 in CSX trim. Was stock standard when I got it, and fairly good condition, but hardly the head turning show car that it is now.

Current mods include full custom interior, lightweight bumpers and bonnet, "shaved" numberplates, speed holes in windscreen and a bushpig sticker (10% more power than NOS). Previous mods included "low profile" sump, GT stripes, eyelids and skyline tailights all handcrafted from insulation tape. I have spared no expense, in fact I have spared ALL expense in bringing this vehicle up to the jaw-dropping standard you see today.

Performance wise it is sick. Really sick. Smoke belching, valve shattering sick! It's so sick it even cuts sick on our private clay drift track and has beaten a fully rusted FJ45 landcruiser on all occasions!

As for tunez, its got not one, but two stereos and not one, but two speakers! It can play my AC/DC tape and the ABC at the same time simultaneously!!!!

It can also carry 6 bales of hay, which is equal to or better than the latest SS Commodore Ute!!

Anyway, here she is! (Before you ask, sorry she is not for sale).

Big rock = extreme punishment. Oil pickup was jammed up into the crank so it wouldn't turn, engine was knocked right off its mounts, scraping paint off the bonnet and firewall.

http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/laugh.gif no, its fake. Just more electrical tape holding the glass together!

Got some more dirt drift pics here somewhere, will dig them up. I have quite a few videos of it too, including some crazy in-car ones, but they're enormous and no broadband. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/sad.gif

Showroom condition doesn't begin to describe it!

Thought about welding the doors, but since I moved up north to work I don't get to drive it much these days, just sits there in a shed on the farm http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/sad.gif

Seeing all these AE71s hitting the track is making me want to do something more with it. Maybe if I move back to SEQ I will resurrect it. Would be a laugh to have a filthy feral sh#tbox with a 20v http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/rolleyes.gif Or maybe it can have the bigport out of the sprinter when I've grown out of it.

Radiator death!! Luckily there was nothing to crash into where I drove it - hence the crazy night racing sessions we had where we drove flat out through 5-foot high grass with no lights. Whole windscreen was covered in grass seeds and spiders. It was awesome!

Actually, before I left I had been designing a bullbar type bumper made from heavy steel pipe. It would have surrounded the lower grill openings and radiator grill, and had a skid plate underneath. Artists impression below.
