haha yeah, that sprinter is ganna be there for awhile..

as for future mods to the trueno, its near complete, just need to lower the rear a tad, finish off the jdm black interior, replace with a fresh bigport motor then leave it like that for 5 years...

i ripped out the Kmac suspension from it if anyone is interested:
Kmac fat swaybar (bigger than whiteline - non adustable)
Kmac rear swaybar (similar to whiteline - non adjustable)
Kmac front and rear Springs
and also the rear shocks once i find replacements

got some new shocks today
some CHEVROLET CAMARO (1985>95ish) rear shocks!
Gabriel Ultra (aka Monroe) shocks Part no. 69676 $44.95ea from supercheapauto...
they did have some standard shocks for $34.95ea
6cm shorter in uncompressed height and 2cm short in compress height
[attachment=6281:attachment]
from the left:
in black Gabriel Ultra Camaro shocks
in red pedders sports ryde short stroke shocks
in black KYB Standard from AE95 shocks (has same part number as ae86!)
in blue monroe standard shock
i also had organge Kmac shocks which is a lil taller than the monroe (not in pic)

the shocks fitted in with no mods, but is very firm (should have got the standard Gabriels...)
im using cut pedder low springs which was not captive with the kmac shocks

whats the ride like leo, I really need some new shocks but not sure what to get.

rthy
27th August 2006, 11:03 PM
lets just say, compare the sprinter weight to the camaro...
its pretty stiff, id go std one for street use... but havent use them so cant really say

rthy
14th September 2006, 07:24 PM
got some standard gabriel guardian shocks for holden hq but found out they have the same part no as the camaro...

these are not as short, stiff as the ultra's
these are only 2-4cm shorter than standard

i got these cos the ultras are to stiff http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/sad.gif

rthy
14th September 2006, 09:48 PM
note sure yet, gotta do some research, at this point it looks like the ae9x or mr2 shocks or something with a be more lenght so i dont have to shorten the strut
