Hey guys im new to this forum, after seing athe people posting T=18's i though i might just add all of mine in.
my brother got a t-18 about 9 years ago and i didn't know wot the hell they were, so after about 7 years after my sister had also driven it i got it given to me as a good old hand me down, after a year on my L's i grew to love this car, once i had my p's i loved it, i learnt to drifit in it, and i even did my first burnout in it! after about 6 month's on my P's i had found another T-18 after talking to my fother i conned him into buying it ($250 wot a bargin) was in good nic apart fro mabit of bog witch was cracking. Then about 9 months later i was pulled over buy a nice couple who asked if i wanted parts for my car and i said hell yeah, so we got talking and they offered me 2 T-18's for $500 ($250 for each car even more of a bargin), http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/greenbounce.gif after talking to my father i got the go ahead for 2 more T-18's after nearly a year i still have 4 T-18's sitting in the drive way! piccy's
this car's name is Tony the Toyota!

and this is my 4th one its name is terry tuff nuts
[attachment=5115:attachment]

after a while i got motivated to do something so i got my first one off the road and i got my 4th one back on the road

ToyT-18

i havnt got to those parts of the body yet so i havnt needed too! but i will when i get to that part of the car!

Bustin_86
5th August 2006, 11:40 AM
ah okay man fair enough. I have been taking all my panels back to metal as i go along lol, there is a little bit of rust under the paint that i wanted to get rid of lol. it really slows it all down.

ToyT-18
5th August 2006, 07:29 PM
yeh i've done that with the bonnet and the right guard! but my old man knows the guy that owns grubs body works here in launnie, and he said just sand back the paint and if there is no sicn of bog u will be right just to go over the old paint as long as its sanded back, so i've dont that with the other guard, bvut i know were all the bog and rust is anyway atm so its all good, but im going over it in primer grey and them using Putty spray to fill in some of the little dents then after every thing is don i will then go over it in another primer then take it to grubs and they are doing the propper red for it and i dont need to pay a cent witch will be good!

but once its all grey i have to register it first! so i can drive it when i get my licence back http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/greenbounce.gif http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/2thumbs.gif

Ahh, tahrbo-san.

Excellent move.

have fun blowing boxes.

ToyT-18
18th August 2006, 09:01 PM
well its not gunna have that much powah. but these t-18 boxes are fairly good for example finding out you can go into first at 140km/h down a hill and have massive compression lock up, i thought i would have snapped a few teeth in the box but nope it is still holding, and a guy i know is running a 4age 20v in a KE30 with a t-18 box (dont know why) but its held together. and he races it aswell. so i not really worried, i have another box there if i have to take one out and get it fixed to take more power, witch doesn't cost much. but for the time being i will be running the standard box, it's just really so i can give some of the 180 boys around the blockie root abit of a run for there money

well im finnaly back into the speed of things i finnaly have tyres for my 14" hotwire just need some money now to get it taken in for a wheel alignment i've also got up and started on a motor to replace mine as it has been blowing smoke very very badly when driving along. got started today cleaning things up
[attachment=9495:attachment]
[attachment=9497:attachment]
i have most things ( rings, barings sump gasket, head gasket, rear main seal) just need the rest of the gaskets to finnish it off,
[attachment=9496:attachment]
also getting the motor ready to be sprayed, i don't want to go black cause to me thats just boring, if anyone has ideas of a colour to go with the green or should i just go with the green for the block, with a black engine bay?
oh and this is might not be the motor thats getting the efi, if i do put the efi it wont get the turbo

ok so the time came oround to putting the new motor in and i was planing on using the head off the old motor so i took it off and i was pissed off but so happy at the same time as i found i have an original 13T block with pistons
[attachment=9781:attachment]
[attachment=9782:attachment]
they are a higher comression by looking at the champer

now i have to take my pistons out and the ones from the 13t and swap cause the opnly head i have atm is a 13t one and it wont fit on top of ordinary 3t pistons

13t is the same a 3t only the tops of the pistons are different and the compression chamber is also smaller witch makes it compressed more that the standart 3t so its just a 3t with different style pistons and head with more compression thats about all

TIf your going to try and et the paint out of pressure packs hold the can upside down and spray until there is no gas left.

I've heard of people doing this and it being safe but I take no responsibility should you end up with shrapnel in your face

ok well don't know what you guys are gunn think but don't blast me for this. well anyway my girlfriend doesn't really like it black but she came up with the suggestion if i keep it black i should put something on it like a airbrushed gloss black red back spider on the bonnet or the roof or something like that, just an idea cause I'm liking it black now so it might be staying that way.

It does not matter one bit if your lady friend doesn't like your car.

And cracking open spray cans sounds dangerous. If I were you, I'd just buy some paint.

I don't wanna spoil your moment, I will agree to some point it still can be worth for what it looks like but I knew the old guy and saw I saw him the other day and asked him about it and he basical ripped off franks wrecking yard, after owning it since new it was in a big accident it the front end so it's all been replaced, pretty much the whole car was fucked at one point, so it has had a respray it the front end anyway

sorry it's been so long have been busy at work haven been home much, just having trouble keeping up with things started doing the car up slowly as i drive it every day, i know it looks like i mess but meh you get that, it has to be done latter anyway just want the colour on so i know what it will be like then its getting sent into body works for it to be done properly, now that i have a good job i can afford it but looking at it i thought maybe 2 tone but nah CBF, i also have just quickly modded a spirit duck tail to suit my car and i think it looks cool

also got my 2tg stuff so its all going along quite well, just about to get the pistons done cause I'm doing a hybrid convertion, that will cost me some money aswell, but since last have got a pair of sizuki sierra front shocks in the rear of the car, brand new from work GT gas work a treat stiff as, only 2 inches of travel from where it sits to where it stops when you lift it in the air, the exhaust is also running under the diff now with has actualy mad a noticeable difference to performance, not very much but noticeable to me, also put a bit of garden edging for the front lip looks ok but thats what you get for garden edging,
