avg is over rated. ewido is pretty much a scam.
Best choice is to buy one. I use VET antivirus. Haven't had anything get through it yet.

Adaware is exactly what the name says, anti ads (spyware etc). VET has a spyware program in the package but is mainly a virus scanner and comes with a firewall.

Get an Apple if u dont want and issues with virus's etc.
On my Windows PC for work, im using Norton and Ad-Aware....or you could run a Linux firewall using an old PC which will stop everything for the rest of your life....virus's cant work on Linux its a different platform to Windows.

New version of Norton are poo. THey are ultra invasive and resource hogs and work only as good as many other much less invasive programs.
