hey guys

Thought i might post this for the people who want to know the diffenrence between ke70 and ae71 crossmembers.

There is only about 10 bolts to take out.

Best to use chassis stands or blocks not the jack to hold up the front of the car
The black one is obviously the stock ke70 crossmember.

The ke70 with no crossmember.

piss easy, they are a direct swap over. the shape is exactly the same just has different mounts welded on for the engine mounts to bolt to.

hey

On my ke70 it had one threaded nut welded to it to hold the steering rack thing in place the ae71 has 2 threaded nuts welded to it so you have one nut left over at the end. As gilly said its piss easy. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/2thumbs.gif

don't know off the top of my head. but if you have both the ke70 and t18 there get a tape measure out and measure it up, my guess is it will bolt straight in to a t18. you would have to adopt the ae86/ke70 steering rack though instead of your steering box. i don't know whether steering columns need to be changed or anything like that.
