Well thought it was time that i added my car to the list so you guys and girls can check it out.

I bought it back in 2003. i was after any ae86, this one came up with a conversion already done. i quickly snapped it up for a really low price. the guy i bought it off didnt really know much bout the car, good for me bad for him.

bout a month later i had spun two main bearings, time for a rebuild. ITS STILL OFF THE ROAD!!!! i have decided to improve the car in all areas.

So heres what it was like currently:
Red ADM AE86

Engine: AE92 bigport 4agze CAS, DLI
Rebuilt engine and head
Custom crank pulley - 17mm (roughly 14psi)
mircotech LT10s ECU with X4 box
Bosch coils x4
Supra front mount
2.5 inch exhaust and extractors
Bosch 070 pump
Xtreme 4 puck clutch

Trans: JDM T-50

diff: JDM T series, aftermarket LSD. Unsure of brand yet

Front SUS: Custom coilovers featuring RA60 strut, KYB short stroke, AJPS 7kg springs
30mm RCA
86 PS arms
XT130 LCA - new bushes and balljoints

Rear SUS: RSR springs, TRD green short shocks. 8 way adjustable. complete new bushes.

Front brakes: S14 4 piston calipers
s14 Slotted rotors

Rear brakes: JDM Disc rear end

I don't have anypics of what it was like when i got it. but imagine a red lowered 86. youve all seen em

Pics and heaps of parts and info to come....NOW

it consists of:
- s14 callipers and discs (disc redrilled)
- st141 strut. (the calliper mount is right, no adaptor needed)
- cruzida spec calliper spacer

http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/6950/dsc01384dw7.jpg

also, i got a kit for the braided brake lines and went to outlaw speed shop to get the banjo bolts.

dont worry, that coolant pipe isnt actually anywhere near the brake lines.

i might actually re-make them so the bends are a bit nicer, but these ones work fine.

i fitted the tail lights today. had to drill to extra holes in the body work. like they say, measure twice, cut once http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/biggrin.gif its all good tho, and they look sweet.

also fixed that shitty wiring loom in the engine bay. i made my own loom for the battery and the b+ harness. also fixed up the fuse box. much neater now, just need a +ve post in the engine bay and its all done.
ill get pics up when i get my camera back......damn women http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/dry.gif

slide86
12th November 2006, 01:21 PM
so i "made" my battery box this morning. basically its your average box and i cut the end out to fit a fuse and relay panel.

http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/4644/dsc01725mb2.jpg (http://%5bURL=http://imageshack.us)

these are the best photos i can get of the rear at the moment, i cant move the car out and im already standing at the back of the shed!

pushed the car outside a bit today to get a good photo of the front at ride height.

i had to do a heap of toe adjustment due to the control arms now fitted. this is the initial toe after the front end was together.

i also got a new bonnet to replace the shit one i had. im in the process of stripping the paint and fixing it up, cause its a bit trashed. should come up a treat tho.

also fitted the cooler setup the car came with. its too difficult to mount the RWD manifold. im sticking with the JZ series intercooler till i can find something better.

trial fit of bonnet to see if it clears radiator......it does!

well, those are 15 txr wheels and they clear ok.

im waiting to get my work 03's to see if they fit, if not then im screwed.....but i got a few things in the pipeline :)

it definetly wouldn't fit a 14 inch wheel, ill take some pics to show clearance. the one thing that i might do is put the disc on the back of the hub so that there isnt so much offset, this will help with the wheel fitment

cheers for all the positive comments!

the seat cover comes with the seat, i didnt have it made.... i dunno if you can buy them or if its some promo thing that bride are doing.

i got the seat and cooler......FINALLY>

the seat is fresher than OJ in the morning. OMG its in so good condition, i don't want to put it in the car. I'm currently sitting in it in the living room watching TV. hahahaa

http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/4/8/4/3/163529.jpg (http://)
http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/8922/dsc02072fk4.jpg (http://)
http://img91.imageshack.us/img91/1199/dsc02071yw5.jpg (http://)

i also scored some JDM oil left over in the cooler lines, I'm planning on putting it into my engine. JDM leftover oil should yield a 7kw increase and 3 street cred points.

the biggest surprise was the genuine JDM socks that were in the oil cooler box. they are pretty dirty, but I'm sure they will improve my heal toe ability <_<

so now i have to fit:

rear wheels
seat
oil cooler
front bar
rear bar
rest of wiring
mount radiator
mount new intercooler

and heaps of tidy up bullshit

30th January 2008, 10:52 AM
Jdm jokes are well dated hahahaha

Seat looks well pimp man, detachable back cover is an excellent idea! Spine support pillow is really cool to, was looking through the gear bride sells (other than seats) the other day and was quite impressed with their add on pillows, clever designs.

http://img340.imageshack.us/img340/3610/23022008012ue6.jpg (http://)

that was my first attempt at using a guard roller, it wasnt a complete disaster. could have been better, but some fine adjustments with a dolly will fix all that.

and ive got a big order from ajps coming......featuring some tasty cusco items.

as always, dave has come through with the goods. parts, rims tyres and use of the shop.

get on the blower or in your car and get down there. there are a lot of goodies waiting to be snapped up

oh yeah, don't wa wa bout the ride height. ive got some s13 sus sorted to correct height and handling. bolt in FTW

the springs are still cut ATM tho. 4 coils off the rear and it still looks like that!

no updates of me actually working on the car.....we cant have that now, can we.....but i am a parts hoarding bastard.

here is some more stuff i have accumulated....

ok...
- the front inserts are TRD 4 way adjustable
- cam gears will be for my second head, just need the cams now. 264 and 256, they are easy to come by
- the camber tops are pretty much new, just to update my own
- and the rear shocks are...well you know the score.

also got
- brand new cusco castor rods
- used cusco lower control arms. have seen better days (will know their condition soon, 741 is borrowing these and the castor rods for his car to go for a gas gas. i get a report once he has run them)

so, things ive decided
- going back to kouki front bar with lip (sold the origin gear)
- need to get an SC14
- not sure to use a bigport head or smallport head for my good head. what are peoples opinions?
- going to be using RWD manifold with good head. the current setup will be sold
- will get a much smaller headgasket too

chaser gets here very very soon, so ill be back in a boosted daily. then ill be back on the spending and finishing path. im not going to mod the 100 till this is done, so id better get a move on! haha

i am the slackest biatch out there

edit: oh yeah, have been in discussion with a guru bout fittment of wheels. i will be running equips up front now! looking at 15 x 8.5 -9 with the O disk for calliper clearance. ill probably buy these BRAND NEW. and ill run the neg 22s on the rear, probably with a spacer as well

oh yeah, more win pics for all you haters out there"

oh yeah, here are some pics of the brake setup.
it consists of:
- s14 callipers and discs (disc redrilled)
- st141 strut. (the calliper mount is right, no adaptor needed)
- cruzida spec calliper spacer

http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/6950/dsc01384dw7.jpg

also, i got a kit for the braided brake lines and went to outlaw speed shop to get the banjo bolts.
