hey guys i finaly got a car its a ke70 i baught from steroidchickens off the forum,
i baught it for $450,
its got no rego,
its got cut springs well im pretty sure they are lol,
the mighty 4k with an exaust tip,
a set of deep dish 13's on it not sure what they ae havnt checked lol,
needs a little bit of body work but fixeble,

MOD'S to come:
paint it black in about a week and give it a clean up,
strip interior paint it silver in side or black,
i might get some smaller profile tyres lo,
a race seat, bucket seat,
a exaust from the catt,
longer lower controle arms,
lock the diff,
quad head lights,
a spirit wing,
and if i can find a lip for it ill get 1 of them 2,
just some little things like steering wheel gear nob and shit like that,
a 4age 16 valve or 20valve at about january,
and when i get a bit more money ill get some springs, shocks, camber tops, sway bars and some power steering shit what ever i need to buy, im not realy sure what i need for that lol,
and eventually a full role cage,

get a paint scraper and a hammer and get rid of it, and you will get rid of about ...... 5 kgs. whoa...... haha. its not worth the effort

hardly worth the effort, but looks neater than the the big ass pieces of deadening shite.

im in the process of pulling the sound deadener out of my ke70 and i can assure you that it weighs more than 12 killo, and weight reduction is one of those things that you either go all out and do everything or you just dont do it at all, i think ersonally you guys are stupid for pulling out your back seats but still leaving sound deadener in and stuff. Its either all in, or all out. And im choosing all out. And ive pulled absolutely everything out,even all the heater and fan unit behind the dash. Ive even replaced the seats with mazda 6mps seats that would weigh less than half the stock seats.

i got it all out from the gear shifter back and it wayed in at 3 kgs. including the boot. so i left the front. the front is like triple layer.
maybe my scales are out. but 12kgs is a fair bit of weight for sound deadener.

you can get an electric heater from a local caravan shop that works a treat. thats what i will be getting once i am ready for engineer time.
i dont think it is loader at all, just when rocks flick up. i just couldnt be bothered again. to much effort for 12kgs..... just easer to go on a subway diet, haha.

my windscreen has fogged up once, when i was in maleny, and nothing a wipe with a t shirt cant fix. And i drive with my window down rail hail or shine, which helps. Plus i have some of that rain x anti fog stuff so thats probably why it never fogs up. But my heater was pretty heavy, id say around 20 killo, and my car is not a designated track car its my daily, which i do drive every day. Ive come from having a pimp car thats quiet with cost seats and air con cruise auto windows and shit, but you get over it, id rather have my car launch towards 8400rpm than some peace and quiet in the cabin. Besides music is always cranking

nah man i used my spray gun i thind the enamel so i could spray it down i used
pretty much the hole tin so there's alot of paint down lol

well i thined it with turps because super cheap ran out of enemal thiner but turps is the same,

= turbo it because i have a vj20, an intercooler, a boost controler, and a blowoff valve and i no a guy that will do the piping for me for a case of beer?

= keep the shit arse 4k to practice drifting in till about a quarter through next year and get a big port?

i also took out the heater n air cond thing in my 86
its looks big so it had to go
and also strip the sound deadner on the floors accept the the floor in the boot
i have full carpet n interior still in the car.
i also used that rain x anti fog
its awsome my car never fogs anymore either after i use it
so i have no problem with running no heater anymore (thanks to rain x)

on saturday i bought 2 cobra recliner sports bucket seat paid a cheap
600 bucks for both brand new and ADR approved i bought them off a guy
that had his rx2 capella that he he bought like 6 months ago and its bin getting
roll caged preped for paint ready to be a 8 sec drag car so he didnt want the cobra's
anymore so i offerd 600 for both and he seemed alright with that price,
so is it a bargen or did i get riped off?

since i only started work in january instead of geting a casual job after school
was finished and i havnt had much room in me and my mats work shop but
it will be in there this friday so it should be a fast process from then,

No offence but the design of that j-pipe is really bad. Not only is it so long that your going to get heaps of heat loss between the turbo and the manifold, but its gonna transfer heat straight to the inlet and engine.

I didnt make the j pipe, a guy on rollaclub Taz_RX did, if you make one similar to this make it shorter and closer to wear the egr valve used to be.

hey how did u do the air fuel ratio? im using a 32/36 with 1600 jetting, runs rich down low but when its on boost its fine.

and is ur turbo sitting on the engine ? wouldnt it be rubbing a shit? Its not sitting on the engine, the j pipe is rubber mounted for support where the battery tray used to be.

r u runing an intercooler? Not running an intercooler, had a cheap one lined up, but the engine was out before i got the cash to buy it, i only got to drive it a few times because of a huge oil leak at the return thanks to poor welding
My advice pull your engine out and take the sump off to do your return properly, there easy as to pull out only takes about an hour, and then you can weld it good and not worry about oil leaks.

For my new oil return im going to weld on a 5 or 6 mm thick plate and tap a thread in it and use an enzed fitting.

yeh we finally got the turbo setup done at 6pm sat night and took it for a better then i thought it didnt over heat it actually started lol ran good didnt f**k up at all and we where thrashing it haha,
but the blow off valve isnt going off?
it might be the boost or the carby spring is to week or somthing?
brakes traction abit easier now lol,
its not goin to fast yet because it needs more boost runing threw it so i went out on sunday morning and got a gfb boost controller, and a drift boost gauge it was cheap lol but havnt installed it because i could have been botherd today haha

the paint job should be done soon and hopefully the suspenion and it should be all ready but i wont be doing the roll cage till i get a tig welder or stig,
