care to share future mods?[/b]

Short term is cams for the 16V to keep it interesting, but I'm currently looking at a 20V Blacktop to rebuild and work the shit out of it. Just love the idea of hitting 10000rpm. Still got to keep it tame though as the missus drives it and its used as a daily driver.

Have another one I'm currently building for track use only ( Hint : if you think this one is nice wait until you see the track one http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/laugh.gif ) Currently aiming for 800kg without me in it and 300hp+ at the wheels, and I'm not to far of it at this stage. Costing me a packet though to finish that one.

Ok I've decided to make a few changes to both Hachi's

Got HKS Cams 256/265, HKS cam gears and an aftermarket computer going on the 2 tone Trueno. Plus a complete suspension upgrade along with new stabilizer bars and bushes all the way around.

Now on the track car I have changed the motor I was sticking in to something with a little bit more punch and playability. Have also decided to change my approach to the suspension setup I was going to go with. Its going to provided a better setup with the new motor and a lot more fine tuning options. Will be dummy mounting the new motor soon to make sure the custom mounts are all good and to establish the floor plan for the engine bay. As I will be keeping clean and looking bling

Will post a pic soon of the new motor dummy mounted. Currently awaiting on some parts to sort out all the mods to be done to make it sit nice and snug in there. But at this stage it looks good and will be a beast when its finished

Track Hachi Pics

SR20DE + SR Bellhousing + RB20 Gearbox

Had a few drama's mating the SR bellhousing to the RB20 gearbox as one of the rods for the fork levers is a different length and size to that on the SR bellhousing (nothing a hammer and a block of wood couldn't fix in the mean time). So it needs to be milled before it will sit properly in there.

This is how it looks in the engine bay of the Hachi. Lucky this was a buggered bellhousing and gearbox I borrowed to dummy it up with so I could work out the engine mounts and positions. Engine crossmember had to be droped 20mm from the rails (as it hit the steering rack and to make the gearbox accessible to change on track) for it all to sit nicley. That was with a 16mm gap between the sump and engine cross member. Have got Cusco S13-S14 engine mounts on the way to mate to the engine crossmember along with solid rubbers. As you can see from the pics I have the motor as far back as possible without the bellhousing hitting the gearbox tunnel.

This is wear the shifter actually sits. So there is some modification to the shifter plate to be made. This is no big deal as it actually sits within the limits of the natural plate

Once the mounts are sorted on the engine crossmember it will be of to get stitch welded and the motor will be having a complete rebuild done as I am aiming for 400hp out of it. Already have a list of goodies for it, some of them are already on there way. So its going to be an interesting build and a lot of fun
