If they are 4 kilo springs then that is pretty damn soft... I use that in the rear of both my cars and its way to soft...

AJPS sells coilovers for roughly the same amount and you can get the better springs so yeah... You mgiht have to drop the price a little to get more interested buyers http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

Cheers,

Justin

I think that the coilover kit he is using is a KONI kit. But I will have to confirm this.
Also, I will also try and confirm if it is DEFINATELY a 250 pound (4kg) spring. Each spring will also depend on each persons application too, so you might think that 'more than 4kg' is soft, but someone else might need that for thier car. Its each too thier own. I know (hope) your not trying to bad mouth my brothers work as you havent used his product, but maybe lets just leave the negative comments out of my thread, and keep it for genuine buyers and people that are interested in buying them.
Thanks for your time.
Regards, Ben.

Just talked to him on the phone. The Coil-Over kit is a custom made kit through his business "Custom Garage" and NOT a KONI kit. He actually did some research and has made them better than the KONI kit.
The shocker is a KYB Excel G and the spring is a 250 pound (4kg) spring which was custom made to suit street/race applications. It wasnt made to suit drift, only for road/race, as anything heavier would handle like a pig for road/race driving. But, like I said its each to thier own, but he was trying to cater more for the street driven AE86, more than a full "drift king" setup.
Trust me, as he would know.
Ill put some pics up hopefully tonight.
Thanks http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

the world and 86s dont revolve around drifting, a car setup too hard handles worse than a hyundai excel on a rough bumpy street twisties...

http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/wtf.gif How about I make another thread in the "Motorsport Talk" thread section and we can all talk about how 4kg springs would go on the race track, and also we could put comments about how my brothers springs arnt "good" springs and that 6kg are better, and question whether his work is better than KONI's e.t.c
Guys I am working as hard as I can too give you the information that I can get. The pics will be up by the weekend. Imm tryin g to sell something here, not debate whether they are better then other types!!!! http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/angry.gif Keep on topic please or dont post, simple as that!!! I am asking nicely now http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/rant.gif

if they are the sleeves dat sport use $$$$ they are better, but only datsport use them so....

as a mod i am going to have to say

if you dont want to buy them then do not post

otherwise it will get too cluttered

'pixorban' mean post pics or you will get banned, or 'this thread is worthless without pics'

both of which statements are just a tounge in cheek way of saying HTFU (hurry the fuck up with pics)

hahahaha

Just want to add that ive seen these kits and they look sik http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/2thumbs.gif , Really look the goods! look like alot of time an effort have gone into these. If i didnt already have coilovers then i would purchase some.

As for the Spring rate, Optional rates might be a good idea to look into to suit different driving applications http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tup.gif

Good luck on the sales
Tim

Dave, could you please delete the stupid thread that Just Half Steppin made in the motorsport section, as he is just wasting time and being a "know all"!!

If you arent interested in them, or dont have any positive comments, then dont post!! How hard is that to understand!!!
Thanks for your co-operation!! http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif

What diameter coilover springs does it suit? 60mm, 63mm(2 1/2") or 65mm?

For anyones info King ProSport Coilover Springs are about $80 each trade in any rate from 200lb/in to 1600lb/in.

can i just add that a softer spring is good in one way because the centre of gravity is pushed down to the tyres during cornering, as long as you dont have too much body roll or like none whatsoever.

Hey Guys!! here is a quick pic that my brother just sent me!!
Hope its ok!! Oh and the zip ties are there to hold the spring down as he missplaced the top strut nuts. These will come the struts though of course. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/smile.gif Oh also, the spring is a 65mm diameter I believe.

Oh and for the record. http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/angry.gif
