So after deciding that yes I actually want my car to pass RWC I decided not to follow in the paths of 4agze-hachisaurus, sorry man http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/wink.gif

So what I did was mod my ae92 or that bracket that people use to mount there gze alternator down low and put on an adjustable tensioner.

The next was using an fwd mount I found in my random box, cut it up so it cleared the alternator when mounted to the far bolt hole, then cut the base off and reweld it to attach to a mounting point on the block.

And once i get it all cleaned up it will hopefully look like something that will pass a RWC

ahhhhhhh yes yes.. didn't take much notice of the slide.. so it sits under the belt, and tensions ^ ... nice work..

just goes to show... often the most simplest way is the most effective way! you should never have any slipping alt belt!

we just did a gze conversion for a dude. used a bracket off a 4afe (ae92 same one youre using or similar) and for tension fab'd a bracket that goes from the top front engine mounting point(when the engines mounted in a front wheel drive car) which pokes out of the cam cover, its long and straight.. i think the dudes on here.. was a red car with ssr mk3s.. maybe its in the members rides section. was a simple solution.
