I work at the Central Coast Council in TAS as an engineering officer, basically designing roads and services etc. Its not too bad and the $$ is good, full time here but they give me 1 day off a week (thursday) to continue my study. I also run my own small business, Perfectionist Detailing, which i no longer do much of the work in as im too busy with a certain sprinter on my days off from this job! My younger brother works for me, and its really handy having an ABN associated with cars when you're building a car up, lots of tax write offs!!

yeah its fair shit for apprentices but once your licenced pay is pretty good ranges where you are but where i am dudes are earning in the area of 100gs. mind you you got to take into consideration that you only work 4 days and then have 4 days off so realistically speaking you work half a year http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif

Like he said, depends who you work for. can be really good, also depends on you level of licencing and how many ticket you have. get your LAME's and you get heaps better pay, im working towards that as i do my apprenticeship and its heaps of extra study and exams on top of your regular stuff plus its around $130 per exam you sit
