i'll pass on that RB turbs too my friend, i got a T25G and the specs are very similar. the "G" actually on paper looks to be a bit better.

got any power figures for me?? just for curiosity's sake no reason other than that http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/tongue.gif

also this custom handbrake you mention, why for? was your selector fouling the handbrake, a car i saw recently came close to fouling but didn't, in the pic yours looks really close hmmmm

yo gilly, all good bou the turbo..

dont have any dyno printouts but feels like 120 or so atw, keeps up easily with sr20 s13's etc..
lol custom handbrake involves the usual removal of spring and a super phsycidelic bmx grip over the shaft...
the hand brake has been bent towards the driver to compensate for the ca shifter sitting so far back.. no cleaance issues...

will get engine pics up next week as the new turbo and manifold will be on the car..

ive got rb20 turbo (standard boost)
GTR 444cc injectors

3 inch exhaust
remapped ECU

i havent had it dynoed either, im keen to see what power yours makes. im fitting VG30 turbo soon. a very well suited turbo for CA engine.

he isnt from adelaide, hes from vic i believe and only comes over on special days when he tunes all the drift cars and remaps em etc.

an alternative is TSL (THE SPEED LAB), heard they do good things. I would go for them paulie when u got some extra coin up the sleeve http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/forums/emoticons/2thumbs.gif

i have also heard good things in regards to "Dr Drift"

roughly $600 a tune/remap so worth it if you have mods (bigger turbs, injectors etc) gets rid of speed cut as well. mine will be a "light mod" motor so i won't be worrying about it, but yeah i've researched and heard nothing but good things.

replying to your msg...
the interior is standard. have not painted a thing apart from little plastics around dash etc...
if i was to paint nething like vinyl i wouls imply clean the intended area with metho or something strong and just coat it in vinyl paint which is available from various places.. vinyl paint is amazing for the price, it actually comes up really well...

bout time for an update i guess..
replaced the turbo for a t25g item,, ran sick for a night.. blew out a welsh plug an the car over heated pretty badly... heeps happy with the way it ran.. it actually scared me.. pulled stupidly hard.. Oh and JHS, every one knows a NA 1.6l can easily pull away from a 18.l worked turbo motor in a straight line.. LOL!! The turbo THEN shat itslef AGAIN! oil was leaking inside all the turbo pipes.. messy shit..
long story short.. neew turbo is fucked.. buying a 2nd hand turbo off the net is like fucking a hooker with out a condom.. Fuck knows what you are going to get!
The decision has been made to buy a brand new t28 rs with a waranty.. 150 kw plus is guaranteed from bill at Adelaide Turbo... Ahh so over cars!

Apart from that bullshit. quad lights have been dodgily wired up and installed, soo good been able to have a bright headlight setup..
I ve had enough of this car.. coilovers and diff upgrade are next then ill sell up.. OVER IT!

Worked throught he night to get it running.. Everything seems sweet.. Should really get a braided line made up for the coolant feed to the turbs, it sits way too close to the block for a rubber hose..

Took it for a test drive and everything ran sick.. T28's are a great turbo, comes on so early and doesnt die off up top.. They flutter and whine like crazy, gets annoying after a while really.. but fuck does it pull hard!

Gilly
8th September 2007, 05:38 PM

gilly.. t25g is no way near as good as the s15 t28 on the ca.. 28's sppol up soo early and dont die off.. You really cant beat the roller bearing turbo.. Its worth going for the t28, You wont look back..

KE70 SA.. are you that chicken? I beep at ya in the work car like every day man, funny shit!

Meanwhile the car is off the road again.. LOL i hit a tree up near uppersturt, came in way too hot and yeah lost control..Had to do a bit of late night tie rod straightning on the side of the road with andgry locals driving past every minute..

Spent the day chucking in some front coilovers and RCA's.. Front end is almost done, just need to find a red quarter panel and wait for a mate to bring round his slide hammer to pull out a nice shiner in the right corner.. Crashing blows..

i really like how you've painted the quad surrounds matt black, that makes it look kind of.....ah cant thing of the word....kinda like a Japanese street fighter style....

bah i dunno but it looks awesome!!

i think with your car the black bumper actually suits it, but im thinking maybe try get a smaller one/cut it down?

Yeah im a fan of the PIG look.. Not a huge fan of anything shinny.. Black bumpers, Black lights, Black wheels and black wing FTW!

On a side note, The car should be all fixed and straight by the endo of the weekend.. Mate got a slide hammer from work so hopefully no more dints and crevasses in the bodywork...

Explain more about these slide hammers, ive heard of them but im not sure how they work. Ive got some serious rear quarter dents that need to be 'pulled out' haha.

umm.. Picture a long rod with a weight that slides back and forth.. One end of the hammer grabs to the car whilst you slide the weight back to force ou the dint.. Its hard to explain.. If you were to pull out dints in the rear you probably would have to drill pop rivets in the dint then hammer them out..

Almost the same as an axle removing tool (axle puller?) but reverse (I THINK).

I know you've seen one of them, i was doing jay's diff center and you were getting new tyres or something.
