I just picked up my new car. It has alot of rust damage, interia has been pulled out, and some mechanical parts missing. It was a driveable car in fairly good condition except for massive rust. Unfortunately the previous owner started taking it apart. It has jap writting on the windscrean as if it just came from a aution. I doubt it has ever been registered in Australia. Later I will continue to collect parts. No time now.

The cars spec originally (missing parts now):
1983 Toyota Corolla Levin Apex (late model)
TE71
2T-GEU (1600cc EFI)
T283 diff (disk brake T series LSD, exactly the same as AE86)
sun roof
electric chrome fender mirrors
solid disks at front
recirculating ball steering (not rack and pinion)
2 tone paint with twincam stickers
alloy wheels 13"

The AE86 is my main project, so the TE71 is not as important to me. I am open to offers. The engine bay it pretty much stock and untouched with ECU and everything. Stock 2T-GEU. I think I can get a complete TE72 also if anyone wants one.

Well, you know I'm keen to pitch in with this thing Jonny, when and wherever I can.
I believe Group5 styles FTW! No need to weld those crusty wheelarches if we put big f#ckoff fibreglass flares on it!

Unfortunately thats not the worst of the rust...BUT on the plus side, most bits interchange with T18 (i.e. doors, quarters, beaver panel etc), the floor is perfect as is most of the underside, and the really unique bits (like the sunroof and tailgate, plus front guards/apron) are actually near to perfect.

All it needs is time.

Oh nearly forgot the JDM Panda, all hail the JDM Panda!

One of the coolest things is that, on the near mint glass, there are a bunch of weird and wonderful Jap servicing, rego, inspection etc decals which just have to stay. As do some bodgy ass Japlish fuel company stickers and such on it, haha.

I feel jealousy from the TE72 driver! You know they look far better than the T18's dude, admit it.

I remember seeing this thing on ebay a while back, will be good to see it restored proper, and going by Jonnys earlier work with his TE37, it should come up looking shmick.

All the best with it Jonny.

Yes the engine bay it pretty much untouched. 2T-GEU with A/C and factory airbox. I don't even have time right now to look at it. If someone is realy keen, I could probably sell them this plus a complete running T-18 with no rust. Otherwise I will keep it to restore at some stage. These TE71s can look quite tuff with the right wheels and bolt on flares, fender mirrors, and a angry 2T-G.

i think aaron is getting confused with the T18 that was out there

i have been to loom at this car about 2 months back, i was going to buy it but the rust is jsut unbeleivable, it even ahd rust in the engine x member and thats over 3mm thick, its an origional car though, im surprised you got it with the engine and diff etc, he told me he was going to strip it and that he might let the sheel go cheap,

good buy none the less

cheers james
