Bustin_86
11th September 2007, 11:12 AM
Heh, fair enough mate, just seems like you have been arc'ing up at old Casey a bit... we usually encourage a friendly atmosphere.

So did you use ra40 tie end rods when you put the arms in? What are the specs on the wheels that you are using on the front in those pics? Im going to pick up my reco'd sigma arms tonight, im looking forward to putting them in :)

tom210
11th September 2007, 11:19 AM
im friendly lol,
um they're 15x7 with a +30 we think. 205/60/15s and yeah, drilled new swaybar holes, swapped the sigma arm for the celica one.. and yeah basically went straight in

Bustin_86
11th September 2007, 11:21 AM
So you didn't use ra40 tie end rods?

No problems with excessive toe?

If you want to grab those rims i can probably organise to help you hand flare your guards for a small charge, be less than a guard roller. And better.

tom210
11th September 2007, 11:28 AM
na, im not up on the steering components its always "the bit that goes in here and connects to that" haha
if you mean the bit with the ball joint that links to the othe bit with a ball joint the bit in the middle being the tie rod, then no we didnt, but if ra40's are longer then that might be a good idea cause at the moment the toe is adjusted out so the wheels are straight

Bustin_86
11th September 2007, 11:34 AM
Yeah, its that bit lol.

Yes, ra40's are that bit longer, and are usually used in the conversion.

tom210
11th September 2007, 11:39 AM
can you hook us up with some then? lol

Bustin_86
11th September 2007, 11:46 AM
Yup. Just one pair of ra40 tie end rods?

tom210
11th September 2007, 12:03 PM

Bustin_86
11th September 2007, 12:31 PM

yeah had some garaging slash workshop issues.. And shit welder issues too lol oh and some electrical issues... Lets just say we've had some issues but yes we'll keep tryin to do stuff to it... I think we need some chrome strip off the back side windows,

No photo's of the last motorkhana, twas a dirt one.. not so spectacular lol, the ignition wire fried itself so we had to put it back on the trailer and enter the pimpazoidial (yes thats a word don't look it up) crown.. The motorkhana became just that little bit more upper class lol anyway i'm sick of typing this on my phone and its christmas day.. So merry christmas and have a good day..

flipped stockies?

how skinny?

tom210
23rd May 2008, 11:49 AM
15x7 -10 as 8s were harder to find/cost more that 7" commodore bands centers are lancer

ae71
23rd May 2008, 06:21 PM
how much do these sorta things cost to get put together?

are they welded?

they would be heavy mothers yeah?

tom210
23rd May 2008, 10:40 PM
i dunno havent picked one up for a while, but i'd say probably 8-9kg, we bought the 4 rims $20 each i think, then we got them cut out, flipped and rewelded by parental/uncle for nothing this made just the 2, i dunno how much it would be if you walked into a place and got them to do it.. but for 4 15x8s to be made up it was close to $600 for rims, bands and labour... hence we had a go ourselves with 7s
,

ae71
24th May 2008, 05:46 PM
they are heavy!

and expensive for steel wheels :P

thats okay for the 7's though as long as they are all straight and not out of round etc..
