we should start a black buisness thread where a shop that has produced some very poor quality work or has been deceitfull would be in it. For me it would be promax and merridian.

what happened Sam?

rthy
15th September 2007, 07:22 PM
merridian: i saw an airbox for a 20v that was so bad it had huge air leaks

promax: sold a 20v engine package for a high price, engine ran super rich indicating a shocking tune on the jap programming, because he couldnt retune it he "fixed" it by using electrical tape and covering half of each of the sock filters to restrict flow. Wow way to go buddy! and to think he would do that in a shop on a customers car and think thats perfectly ok.

oh and i better say this happened to two of my friends not me directly, but i did see that airbox for myself

..also had a bad experience with Promax unfortunately - sold me a car that "had been in a prang at some stage but chassis was straight!", only to find out later after pulling the engine that the chassis rail was bowed like a cowboys knees! Prob half my fault for not checking it out properly before hand.
