For those of you who don't know, my name is Paul, and I like Corolla's.

All of my cars have names and there is reasoning behind each name, it makes it easier to explain stuff quicker if they all have short names.

Akie ^

Just registered Akie this afternoon (my yellow 1982 KE70 Panelvan). It is my new daily and it's so good to be back in an *E7* after almost 12 months.

It has done 70,500kms, didn't run when I bought it just needed a new battery and an oil/oil filter change to be able to start it, then it wouldn't drive because it had a deep fried clutch (original clutch too i think, it had aisan printed on the plate) so I got one on ebay. When my brother and I pulled out the gearbox and clutch the flywheel was all grooved so i threw in another one which i had lying around from another KE i had wrecked a few weeks ago. And the original 4 speed has been left out for a K50 which is now in it:) Only needed a short list for roadworthy and it's now all sorted and drivable. Angel eye quad headlight conversion to come like my avatar.

Yeah I bought the panelvan on ebay, my brother and I picked it up on a trailer and towed it back with his ZH Fairlane. I actually bought it with full intention of picking it up and taking it to my brothers property (Heathcote) to store for a few months until my girlfriend and I move into the house we just bought, coz i was going to cut it up and use the B pillars, quarter panels and long doors to turn Frilzy into a coupe. When we got to look at the car we just said, this thing's too good to cut up and brought it home to work on / register.

Panelvan is now sporting remote mirrors from one of my AE71's because one of them was broken and held on with tape and they didn't have the little remote stick things so I just swapped them for the better ones. No intentions of fender mirrors for the van, just doing that on Beakie.

Other plans for Beakie are to give it a little power upgrade, if i can get something at the right price I will update in a few days time with news;)

Beakie's power upgrade wont be A series, will be 3T, most likely later change over to a 2T head and my cousin is giving me a 32/36 weber, adaptor plate and manifold off the TA22 track car which has recently been swapped for a 45DCOE. I've driven the TA22 around winton with the 3T bottomend / 2T head, 32/36 Weber, Extractors and 2 1/2 inch zorst and it goes well enoguh:)

Will definatley be an upgrade from 4K auto.

More pics later in the week.

Got a 2T-G lined up now which has twim side draft 40's, oh how the plans may have changed again:P

Picked up a T-18 tonight, it's kinda a bit of a donor car, chrome bumpers, good T50, new shockers all round, new clutch etc... It's also got the same rims as the jap KE70 GT's the 4 spoke with chrome trims:)

So I may have to buy this motor and hold off on the purchasing parts for Beakie for a few months now. The tenants in the house we're buying are applying for early release of contract due to extreme circumstances, which will leave Alanna and I paying rent at one house and morgage at the other for a couple months. So Beakie will have to wait a little longer.

Throwing some alloys onto Akie next week too.

ps: Gavin, I've started on the guards i'll send you pics next time we chat on MSN.

Update time :2thumbs: I'm so excited I recieved a little package in the mail today, BMW angel eye E30 quad headlights. I've got to weld me up some custom brackets so they fit within the KE70 surrounds correctly and have the four mounting tabs for the clips too.

Also finished cleaning up / polishing two rims for Akie, rears to come, see pics update in post two shortly.

I put an MP3 head unit in the panelvan this weekend, also cut some new door trim/cards and fitted Cressida side pockets. Will be in-building some surrounds for my 6 inch splits to go into the door trims and be part of the pocket assembly if that makes sense. When i do this I'll have to drill holes (into the door and the body) and fit rubber thingys for the wires to go through so i may as well hook up remote central locking and an alarm while I'm at it.

Long time since an update, sold "beakie" red corolla and T-18 parts car as complete package. Kept the diff off T-18 for my brother's AE86 and also kept the T-18 wheels. T-18 rims are same style as KE70 GT.

Bought an AE71 with 6 months rego yesterday so the van can come off the road, it's now sporting T-18 rims.

Pics of AE71 in post 2
