Its a TE70 Sprinter 1.8 XL with a 13T-U engine, T50 gearbox and T series drum brake diff. It was factory fitted with a T40 and and an S304 diff. I've just bought some 4.1:1 ratio's for it as the pinion is missing some teeth.

You can notice that the front end is different to a KE/AE, along with the C Pillars and the Tail Lights. It has a different dash, and instead of lap sash seat belts in the the rear, it has lap belts only!

I think it's the bee's knees, and thanks to Terry from Road and Track i now have a set of 14 x 6 +8 Enkei Colin Cross Fever wheels. Obviously its in desperate need of 25mm wheel spacers and low down suspension, these are things that will come once the roadworthy is performed and the car is registered.

Plans for car are just some general maintenance, wheelspacers and lower sus, a steering wheel and thats it.

Anyone with further information about the origins of this model of car please post, as i have found next to no information about this car.

The car will most prob be for sale in late feburary but until then, im going to enjoy it.

it would be better if it had the quad headlight front end, but im stoked with it, its obscure enough for my liking.
won't drift it at the track Grant, probably just a daily hack and for spirited mountain drives to cure my nocturnal boredom.
i've punted it around in the wet a little and what it lacks in steering response, it makes up for with STEERING LOCK!!!

the steering box has mega lock!

Yeah its on the Gold Coast.
All its getting is wheel spacers and cut down springs.
