i got this off tye off these forums recently, awesome guy to deal with :)
but yeah its basically as i got it, except for a few minor changes to the inside.

yeah this is the one which had the ae86 kit.
i didnt want the kit with it, it would have been impractical, so i thought it was fair to let the seller get some of his money back from it.
after only 2 weeks, ive gone through most of the car and it is a machine. im quite impressed with how its all put together, not as much dodgey work as youd normally see in a ke70.

i put some 195/60's on the xr4s today, it is definately no deal. they just rub on the rear, so it looks like 185's, unless i find lower profile 195's. the rim sits perfect inline with the rear guard.

now i want to get some other front wheels, i dont really like the look of the mk1's on the front, plus theyre too skinny, im thinking watanbe/superlite style (doubt ill find another set of 14" xr4s)

ok change of plan.
after driving home in the rain, i decided its a tad risky having the good tires on the back with the locker (tight corner showed me why)
the xr4s now fit on the front, no rubbing at all, they just look hella fat.
i just dont want to look too much like a drift king wannabe with massive wheels on the front and crap wheels on the back, ill keep looking for another pair..

i flared the front guards recently, got like an extra 2cm out of them to almsot cover the tires (not the wheels :P)
right now im riding with yellow primer wheel arches, i feel so ghetto.

also im having thoughts about getting a muffler, the sound is sweet, but i really notice it when i try to talk to a passenger and end up shouting. maybe a small cannon, or another resonator right at the end?

im thinking of redoing the rear ones in a similar way, though theyre already pretty pumped out.

theyre 14x7.5 -5 offset.
i wanna get another pair similar, id be ok with 15x7-15x8 0 offset to replace onto the front so i can get some more positive camber than it has at the moment

well i havent done much recently, because i got this car to drive, and driving i have done..
im going to redo the exhaust i think in stainless steel soon, at the moment its like 3 different sizes, so 2.5" from the turbo back should be good.
a few pics off my phone of the wheels, guards, and rear exhaust section.
it sounds exactly the same, just looks hell cool. ill probly just get more unwanted attention though..

hey dude i was just down at drift garage in ingleburn they have some nice rims down there if your hany with sandpaper and paint i just got some nice dished rays gold meshies that need work but will look hell sik once done anyways if you eva wanna sell the cage give me a hoy

Alrighty, a bit of an update.
The clutch master cylinder decided to start leaking a decent amount of fluid, so i decided to finally replace it with a new one.
I also washed it finally, and got the exhaust mounted properly.
I also put the padding onto the rollcage, because i realised the engineers paper said it was meant to be on :P

Next im making a new silencer for the exhaust, because my original one fell out randomly one day, and i didnt stop for it...the exhaust noise has been getting on my nerves lately, i might save up to get the front half remade with a muffler instead of a resonator.
Also im saving up for some rear wheels, i decided it looks gay with them in the guards at the back

I had my first go at carbon fibre. I wanted to mould over the orignal dash insert thing, but now im thinking ill make another flat piece and put the guages up there too.
Also you can see the ally panel for switches and boost controller and guage

well as of 10 mins ago its all colour coded now too. front guards and lip are mercedes golden yellow aswell, looks so much cleaner.

and nargh, havent been to the track yet. I'm looking at hitting up a motorkhana sometime soon with a few work mates though, i have plans for seeing the track one day though :P

just realised that i hadnt updated this for ages.
I'm still looking for some rear wheels that tickle my fancy (and my bank account)

Though since the last time i have added a Madhouse front lip (and cracked it), finally painted the front wheel arches and given the interior a bit of a respray.

I just mist coated the floor in purple because i was getting sick of the silver.
Also i moved the guages onto the dash, though i can't see them any better, so ill just leave them for now..

do not touch those rear gaurds
they are the only all metal rear guards (no bog) ive seen !
theyare flared to the max ....because of the seam they flare a few mm further then 86 gaurds
and were home to my 14 by 8.5 -20 offset rears with 185/60's .
shes coming along nicley ...you shouldve just kept my ssr's on it
oh yeah and its running -4 camber ...there is no need for anymore
the camber/castor/toe is the same as what ive ran in all my ke's
and was done with sliding as the sole purpose .
keep it as is and if you want to spend money get a haltech (i just happen to have a brand new one to suit ha ha)
wind up the boost a lil and it will be a perfect track car ! ...that was my goal !

at the moment its running 3.5 neg camber, the shop down the road died when they saw it
Ive got another pair of mk2's coming, but an inch narrower than yours, they should make it look a bit better though

Ive thought about touching the rear guards, but i don't really want to repaint them. The front was done with almost no bog, i spent about 2 hours with my planishing hammer on each side

After the i get the mk2's for the rear, ill be looking to neaten the interior, going to sit the guages better in the dash, and also fix the speedo which i had working for only one day :P

then its onto a bit of the track, pay off loan and start saving for something with a 1j :P
