here it goes...

over this weekend im looking at doing this s13 setup into an MZ10 soarer

i already done it on my ae86 so i imagine its no drama...just a few things i need to know..(i been lazy and havent looked under the car yet)

the xmember on the mz10 in relation to ae86 - width wise

the steering rack...is the thread the same or different....i imagine 80's toyota its all the same

top hats - s13 ones seem to fit but at different angle...so u get camber and caster adjustment in one

well i think thats it...ill post up how i go just in case someone is interested

if anyone can think of any other issuses ill run into...post away...

and moderators....if u could just leave this post alone...its not hurting anyone yet :)

thanx

Adam

this is what i done

http://www.toymods.net/forums/showthread.p...1755#post551755 (http://www.toymods.net/forums/showthread.php?p=551755#post551755)

i listed all the issues with the conversion on the last few pages...

this is what i used

S13 kai office height and spring adj. with 9kg springs on front.
S13 kai office camber tops, Mz11 redrilled to suit.
S13 stub axles
SR20det brakes and disks
R31 tie rod ends (14mm thread) (i got s13 ones to start with but they were 12mm dia. hole so i was told that the r31 tie rods were the same but had a 14mm dia. hole to fit the mz10 rack ends, it might be r32 tie rod ends as well?)
MZ10 272mm long rack ends (14mm thread) - RE879
S13 strut bar
all sitting on Orginal MZ11 LCA's with orginial ball joint.

sweet as....i already trial fited the lot on weekend with a few minor differences

s13 lca and ra60 / bluebird rack end / tie rod combo...s13 top hats fit...just at an angle...

the car should be finished by saturday and competing in the drift comp...the driver has not ever driven the car or drifted before so should be interesting :)

thanx for the help

how much different is the s13 lca to the mz10 lca? did you have to redrill the castor road and swaybar mount holes?

would very much appricate some pics.

do you gain much track? whats the length of the s13 lca?

as you might of read :P i did the conversion and lost some track so if getting some new S13 lca's and only having to redrill one hole helps me gain it back ill be happy.

hey, did you do your conversion yet?

looking at some firuges and lca lenghts...

s13 are 350mm long
mz/gz10 are 280mm long

that might add a little too much track to your setup, ae86 lcas are 310 apperently. im hunting some that are 300mm let ya know what i find.

LOL... humm... when your negative camber hits double digits and your postive adjustment on the camber plates is maxed out, hahaha!

mx73 might be the go ;)

lol... when your driving on the inside tyre wall it gets a little dicey!

hahaha.

they should make tyres with 50 profile on out side and 25 on the inside, hahah
