The top speed in 2006 was 331km/h with McGuinness setting a lap record.

222 more have perished since during the history of the race, I presume that includes members of the public who are allowed to ride the circuit on the sunday of the event.

Last year or the year before, one of the British bike mags did a story of a Japanese guy that had been going to the Isle of Man for years, the story was about how he made exhausts etc out of his small workshop in Japan etc, was a great story.

Next edition of the mag they were giving his eulogy, he had been killed at the TT.
