got a few pics, no drift pics as i mostly used the camera in the morning and drifted after, but for all that want to see what the track looks like heres some good pics

At the track at 6am (7am local time)

Me and mark took a walk around the track in the morning to suss it out

Here is the main straight, look in the direction of the last corner

Mark on a hardcore all or nothing entry to corner 1
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/4/8/4/3/159531.jpg

Looking at corner 1 and the main straight
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/4/8/4/3/159532.jpg

After corner 1 there is a very fast right hander which tightens up to a really small S bend, easily the most awesome first two corners ive ever driven
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/4/8/4/3/159533.jpg

Mark making a quick entry to the above mentioned small s bend (keep in mind some of the guys were at top of 3rd before entering this)

Mark finds another friend

Here are the track supplied drift vehicles if yours brakes

http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/4/8/4/3/159538.jpg

At one point in time there were some unessecary words stated... it was time for action
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/4/8/4/3/159539.jpg

When brute force didnt work, Mark resorted to.... well... more brute force
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/4/8/4/3/159540.jpg

After that he tryed to make it up by showing them some love
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/4/8/4/3/159541.jpg

It was a no go and made mark very sad
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/4/8/4/3/159542.jpg

At the end of the track there is a really cool W bend, i would enter this at top of second and on the handbrake (lots of fun)
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/4/8/4/3/159543.jpg

Which continued down to this bottom part (middle of the W)
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/4/8/4/3/159544.jpg

Mark also went for some dirty turboness on this one (all tho he doesnt need it cause his awesome boosted car does like 5th gear dori... bastard)
http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/dcimages/4/8/4/3/159545.jpg

Anyway hope you guys like the pics, just thought id show you how cool the track is. Its such and awesome track and is about 3 times the length of archerfield. It also probly has about 5 metres in height difference over the entire track.
I have some vids of Josh and Sam doing their stuff that i might try get up later, theyre all in quicktime unfortunately so i need to find something thatll convert it...

Josh also got some footage of me driving which i was utterly stoked to see, and will have that off him soon hopefully and will post asap.

The other thing was i gotta thank both the jasons for getting me and my car down there... even tho they both went out and got pissed on saturday night and 1 of them went MIA with some chick and we didnt find him till 5:30am sunday lol

Best pics (and commentary) for a drift event EVER!!!

Track looks pretty fun, wish I didn't have to move house or I would have come down.

Hopefully this event will happen again in the near future.

it really was an amazing track, so many variations in corners, camber and speed. The toyota guys seemed to take to it a lot better than the nissans, probably due to the tightness of several corners.

SO keen for another one, but not anytime soon as i need more money, i spent over $200 just on fuel :(

Yea i loved this weekend, but damn it hits the wallet hard... i spent at least $600 im not sure if that includes tires or fuel....

Did you guys get any contact numbers for these monthly meets?

Seeing as im a bit closer it shouldn't be any harder than a drive to Archerfield

it was only a practise day, no competition. Go to raleighraceway.com it should have contact details to find out when the next drift day is.

If it was in ballina, i would probably hit it up as often as I could. But its just too far to do it regularly.
