I've just had a LSD installed in my Hilux rear end (ke70) and now for some reason it's pulling to the right while driving. Also I was told when I bought the lsd it had just been tightened/shimmed and now it pretty much feels like a locker.. Is this normal?

Also I might aswell ask this question in the same thread, do these coilovers look like they are base adjustable?

yes they are adjusted from the base via the two red spindles

Thanks heaps, just wanted to make sure that they won't sit too low on the rolla :)
Do they seem like a good buy for $350? No leaks, 6 kg springs

she shouldn't be pullin right. maybe someone stuffed up the clearances on the rhs bearing.

RHS bearing as in being in the diff or the wheel bearing?

I know this feeling. If you put the open diff back in it would drive straight, with the locker or LSD it pulls one way. Your car or suspension is twisted slightly one way. Or, you have uneven tyres on the rear. Left and right tyres are different sizes or brands. Get adjustable trailing arms for your diff housing, if you havn't allready. You need to make one side a bit longer or shorter and experiment.

If you had the TRD style LSD for the T series, you would only notice the pull to one side while under power and deceleration ( if its 2 way). But because the HiLux diff has coil springs (and that it is shimmed up tight) you feel it all the time.

I just had a quick look and I have profile 55 tyres on one side and 50 on the other, I'll swap them around so they are even and see if I get any improvement

Thanks everyone, that fixed it :)

Is it possible that the lsd I had put in had been tightened so much that it now acts like a locker? Should it become a bit less tight after a bit of driving, or does something sound wrong?

Better tight than loose. :P

Are those coilovers for your KE70? Doesn't the ke70 have similar struts to the sprinter (stub axle integral to the strut)?

Those look like s13 coilovers or something similar... are they going to fit your car? (ie do you have s13 suspension in your car?)

nah bud it should break in after a bit of driving.

Yeh they are for a S13 but I've got a pair or front SR20 brakes to go along with them aswell as the rest of a S13 front end to go along with it :)

different sized tyres on either side, man thats the funniest thing i have read all night!

glad you got it sorted though, it would not be good for your LSD driving it like that

Haha yeh it was actually the shop which had put them on wrong (I've got 55's rear 50's front) All good now but :)
