adm bumper metal

hey can someone with an adm sprinter with a stock front bar and no mods around that area have a look at the metal that runs along behind the plastic bumper. mine has about a metre "cut" out in the middle to fit intercooler. but on the edges look like bolt holes? is that middle part just bolted in? couse if so it means i dont need to weld! can just bolt a piece of metal in there to show the cops.

There is no metal that runs the length of the bar. There are only metal brackets, one on each side that bolt to the front of the chassis rails.

hmm. ok. copper said i need to replace the metal there.
