Hey all,

Well after much thought, i have decided i want to move on to bigger and better things and im building a house, so unfortunately the sprinter has to go. Those of you who know the car will be familiar with the work gone into it, in excess of $30k spent to date. Im not trying to get my money back as it simply wouldn't happen, but i will not give it away. A breif run down of the car:

- ADM AE86 Completely stripped down, full Cams approved weld in cage fitted, bare metal respray inside and out, under floor pan, engine bay etc.
- 3sgte RWD conversion with Genuine Supra W58 (steel plate) gearbox, through custom single piece tailshaft to hilux diff. All hand made turbo manifold, inlet manifold and plenum, Hybrid front mount with alloy piping etc.
- AP Racing 4-pot brakes up front with brand new 4000series DBA slotted vented rotors, running falcon hubs on fitted axle stiffeners, s6 RX7 rear rotors and calipers. Calipers all HPC coated.
- Brand new Garrett GT2876RS turbo, sitting on hand made steam pipe mainfold (neat one, not a birdshit welded thing..) into 3 inch stainless dumpy and system (over diff) into stainless Lukey performance muffler
- Microtech ECU with wiring harness, already tuned (purchased from raceflo, wsa running his sprinter with 3sgte) @ 240rwkw on 19psi, which is rather conservative.
- Turbosmart eBoost2 electronic boost controller
- Turbosmart tReg Pro Fuel Pressure Regulator
- Turbosmart Blow off valve, with mounting in IC piping.
- PWR Alloy radiator
- Twin 10 inch davies craig thermos
- Remote oil filter, oil cooler and Accusump (gives instant oil pressure without the motor running! No more Oil starved 3s!)
- Surge tank setup including 044 Bosch high pressure pump, lift pump, tank, all braided lines and Sppedflo annodised fittings, set up in sealed box.
- Alloy baffled 60L drop tank on custom mounting frame, filler from original fuel door.
- Hilux diff (professionally fitted and straightened after welding)
- Koni Sport Yellow Adjustable shocks all round
- Custom Whiteline springs front 6kg and rear 4.5kg
- Adjustable Whiteline Sway bars front and rear
- Full nolathane bushing kit, every bush replaced
- Redline Tail lights Brand New
- Brand new front indicators, Near new headlights
- T3 Camber tops, front strut brace, tri bar
- Rebuilt steering rack
- 16x8 Sparco Wheels, freshly powder coated and tidied up, brand new condition.
- Sparco Sprint race seats, Cams approved, 2x off, brand new
- Sparco Suede Steering wheel and boss kit.
- Willans harnesses
- Custom Fibreglass dash (to suit original sprinter gauge cluster)
- S13 booster and R32 GTR master

The list really does go on, here's a quick (and very conservatively priced) add up of costs so far....

-AE86, fitted with 4age, complete car needed ecu to run $3500
-Transport to get it here $500

-Hybrid 600x300 Intercooler plus mounts laser cut and brake pressed $500
-PWR Radiator $500
-Rebuilt Steering Rack with rod extenders $150
-3 Inch Stainless Exhaust, Lukey muffler mandrell bent $1200
-Custom Steam Pipe Manifold (to be $300 HPC coated) $500
-Sparco 16x8 Alloy wheels (without tyres) $1000
-Genuine Toyota Parkers and Headlight $600
-Fuel System, Bosch 044 pump, lift pump, surge tank, braided lines $1000

-2.5 and 3 inch intercooler piping, mandrell bent aluminium $500
-Brake caliper mounts, engine mounts, seat mounts, assorted laser cut $500
-Redline tail lights $600
- Plus all the costs i've forgotten, or odd things here there and everywhere.

As said before, i have thought about this long and hard, and atm i've got something else that needs to happen, so im going to have to give it up. Seriously, all that is left to do is wire the motor up and its running, every single part has been sandblasted/powdercoated or HPC coated or polished or is brand new! This car is perfect, the attention to detail is amazing and anyone who has seen it will back this up. Currently the motor is sitting in shed, but will be fitted soon. Car has been completely together and had everything custom made to suit. the build up thread i've got up to 50 odd pages in detail with everything i've done as far as modding it. This is in no way a pig build, would make an awesome daily driver/weekend track car, with the ability to adjust the boost at a touch of a switch, even the mrs can go grocery shopping in it!! lol Some pics....

Full photo album here, 500 or something pics from throughout the build.... http://s197.photobucket.com/albums/aa148/medwin46/Sprinter/

Go to the album though and have a look at all photos, there will not be one that does not impress. This car has been build with so much effort and attention to detail, it will be a shame to see it go but sometime's we've gotta make sacrifices hey?!

Will not part out at this stage, unless someone wants the whole engine/drivetrain package, but honestly you'd be better off taking the whole thing, the money and the work gone into it is insane!!! Anyone who has done the 3s conversion knows the expense involved with custom engine mounts, turbo manifolds etc etc.

I have receipts for over $30K worth of parts/labour (mostly parts) and can supply these. There is simply too much on this car to list it all.

Would love around the $20k mark (still losing $15k+) but realistically, its not going to happen. I'll settle for $18k ONO

Anyone with half a brain would jump at this car, the work has been done, the expense has been blown, buying into this car now, chances are once complete would possibly make money!! Yes its incomplete, but will be fully assembled minus wiring upon collection. Every part that came off the car is here in the shed also, to go with it.

Car is in Burnie, TAS. Feel free to PM me any questions, will deliver interstate at buyer's expense.

Please guys, respect my decision (be it as crazy as it is!) in selling this, my baby. I simply have bigger fish to fry, do not have the time for this atm. As i said, im reasonably open to offers, may consider splitting if i have interested parties in all parts.

Cheers

Sprinter > Seadoo.

Once it's complete, you'll be able to sell it for more if you're that hellbent on getting rid of it.

Yeah, but atm i need some cash, some room and some time. All of which this car has drained me of, for no enjoyment as yet!! lol Yes, granted it probably will be good for a week or so once finished, but i got other things to do atm. Getting both this house and business off the ground are the priorities.

man for awhile ive been trying to nail this hot as chick. its been alot of hard work but finally the other day i was alone with her and she took her bra off. she asked me to take her panties off but instead i windged about all the time and money i wasted on trying to get to that moment so i decided to just give up on it all and leave.

this is what you sound like mate. spend so much time and money on something truely amazing and when youre almost there you get angry and want out before you enjoy the benefits of it. HANG IN THERE! finish her off with the little wiring business she needs and flog the crap out of her for a year. after that if you decide you wanna get rid of her then do it. enjoy all the money and time youve spent on her atleast a little.

its a top car mate. ae86's are gonna go up in price next year when they hit 25yrs of age, and keep going up in price after that. theyre a cult car like a monaro or ford coupe or gt (or gt coupe ;))

my mate told me how he sold his charger 5 years ago for $3000. he did it up awesome, spent so much cash. regretted it ever since, especially considering how much money theyre worth now.

if you do sell it someone is gonna get one awesome car.

just looking from your photo album i can see u've put in alot of work and effort into this car.. this would most probably be worth what your selling it for. I think going the 3sgte is an awesome idea, i've always wanted an a 3sgte in an 86 but just dont have the money, maybe later down the track.

Anyways dude gd luck with the sale, awesome car!!

So hawt. :( Sounds like you've had epic troubles like me, but far worse since you've done the 3S conversion, lol. IMHO, you'd be better off parting it out, however, I'd prefer to see you keep it...

Either way, good luck, looks quality as.

In the words of "Chopper" (roney johns style) "GROW A FUCKEN MUSTACHE!!!"

But seriously Jesse, finish it then sell it complete if your hell bent on selling it.

People that pay big bucks for modified cars never build them themselves, get it running, then decide it's fate.

If you do sell it, you will make more money than selling it half complete.

My 2c rant over, hope the house and business all falls into place for you.

wats another 20k on a house?? absolutely fuck all....if uve spent 30k of ur CASH in the last 12 months on a sprinter....its doesnt take that long to save it again....ur only young mate, plenty of time to set urself for the future...fuck i bet there 25 year olds on here that still dnt own a house yet are living a happy life and will own a house or 2 or 3 or maybe 10 before they die....

if all else fails, inheritance is always there to fall back on in the years to come, sounds like ur family is sitting on a pretty penny lol

Damn dude, how could you even think of selling that!?! You have to be crazy. Heck I've spent alot on mine and it aint half as good as yours. I definately will not sell mine. The gf will have to understand that it stays. If you have spent so much time and pennies on this pride and joy I wouldn't sell it. You would have had a dream of building this from the start and now that you are closer than ever, you can't just let it go. You have to drive it atleast one!! You know you want to and we all know we want you to :P haha. Do it for you country.
