Model Sues over Jewellery Ad

A model who says she has worked hard to maintain a wholesome image has filed a $US5 million ($A5.67 million) lawsuit saying a jewellery company's advertisement in which she writhes and moans looks pornographic.
The online commercial shows a woman wearing lacy lingerie and a diamond necklace while moaning and stroking her face and neck. It ends with the web address for the jewellery company, Szul.com.
Court papers filed on Monday by the 37-year-old unidentified woman say she did not "consent to or authorize the use of her likeness, picture, image or name to simulate a female having an orgasm or otherwise experiencing sexual pleasure."
The idea for the ad was that an average man would get a woman excited by putting a necklace on her, the lawsuit says.
While filming the commercial with Q2 Entertainment in November, the woman was told to sit and feign excitement for a few seconds while the young man put the necklace on her, the lawsuit says.
Then the director told her to fake excitement while lying down, the lawsuit says.
The woman was paid $US200 ($A227) but never signed a release that allows her image to be used in an ad or commercial, the lawsuit says.
The lawsuit names Szul Jewelry, Q2 Entertainment and Q2 principal Mitchell Goldman as defendants. None of the defendants immediately returned telephone calls seeking comment on Wednesday.[/b]
