I was thinking about buying an ae86 steering rack as my car has none (was such a bitch to put on a trailer)
i have an s13 complete rack sitting in the workshop

is it possible to fit the s13 item?
if so what modifications would i need to do it?

is it a better option to just get a ae86 rack and just change the lcas witht he s13 ones i have?

Cheers

Please just use Sprinter or Corolla parts. So much easier, there is no need for modifiacions. The S13 rack is for powersteering anyhow.

Get any steering rack from a KE70 van, KE70 or AE71 sedan, or AE86. S13 is the wrong part!

The lower control arms should be from a Toyota also, unless you are trying a funny hybred Nissan coilover setup.

I have heard of this done. A certain drift SR20 powered E7. They used the entire Nissan crossmember, rack, struts, hubs, LCAs etc.

But in short, no it's not worth the hassle just trying to fit the rack.
